Ah she did but she thought she was above reproach, even Mitch told her she was. That was probably a bad idea but Sophia was dangerous. "Oh? so the rumors of your demise have been greatly exagerated?" That was a pity. She twirled her parasol and tilted her head with that superior smile of hers.
"As always, life is good to me."

"Not entirely," he breathed. Obviously a nerve had been pinched. His fists sunk deeper into his pockets. "Only toward my family and the likes of you. Those others of whom I've made contact with know me not from a common urchin."
He had been wearing the same suit since the day he left home and it showed. Oh, how the mighty had fallen.

She considered that, to their breed he might as well have been dead for all society cared. He looked dirty, "You and Evangeline would be lovely companions.." she loved to tease the little mouse. Sophia had killed people society wise, a simple turn of phrase would destroy someone as fast as a knife to the back. She almost lived for those instances.

"Evangeline?" He had run in to her not to long ago; or better yet, she ran in to him. He massaged his temple before running the hand through his hair. It more than irked him how Sophia could have such an angelic face yet prove to be the exact opposite. It made him think of some of the characters he had read from books. He'd spent a lot of time at the library for lack of anything better to do. Sirens, mermaids, and even Lucifer were all beautiful, but evil. Evangeline was a sweet girl and Sophia seemed to get a joy out of teasing her.
"I hardly see a connection between the two of us."

"Oh I don't know, two complete rejects just might compliment one another. She can't make it in our worlds so she ran away, and so did you.." or that was how she'd heard it. She was a terrible person really, like so many of their class.

Robert looked straight over the the beach where the water met the sand, brows furrowed. A small grin appeared on his face and then darkened into a smirk. "Is that whats going around? I ran away from the pressure of being a socialite?"

"Not really," she responded, smirking as she twirled the parasol. "And you know I don't believe that one bit. I do how ever think that you got what you deserved, after all-- I never thought you were made of much.." That-- was the black widow.

"Oh Sophia, though a shrew to the end, you never cease to amuse me. Let us not forget, however, that as far as status goes, your immigrant family is below mine in the social hierarchy." He rocked on his feet slightly. "And what exactly is it that I got?"

"I'm from royalty, I may have immigrated but as far as Europe goes I am at the top of the ladder," she smirked and gave him that superior look, she had such a haughty look about him, dark eyes on his face. "But what does that make you now? You are no better then a homeless-- newsie.." it was laughable.

"But you are no longer in Europe or have you forgotten." He had nothing to say about her second comment. What could he say. To a point she was right. She really knew how to tear someone down. He wasn't much for confrontation anyhow, but she knew what she was doing. She knew how to pick at people right to their bone, but if there was one thing Robert had learned from living on the street it was how to keep a straight face.

She flashed him a smile, but the look in her eyes could have frozen a stampeding bull at a thousand paces. "Yes, I am reminded every day I'm in the presence of riff raff.." her smile never faltered but there was almost clear hate in her eyes. The woman know how to cut down, and she turned her head as if a thought had occurred to her. "Though.. even your family is an immigrant, Robert. " she laughed. "Unless of course your a savage native.." She thought he was a savage and her eyes dared him to comment.

Robert chewed on that for a moment. "I suppose that is true if you are speaking in terms of lineage. However, I am American-born as is my father and his father before him and his father before him." He knelt down in front of her so he was at eye contact. "You may have been able to assimilate yourself into our way of living and thinking, but to those looking in you are still not seen as whole. And this riff raff that you speak of, why not simply return to your beloved homeland?"

She tilted her head as she considered a response, "My father is the Spanish Ambassador to America, it's a great honor and privilege.. for someone of royal lineage, and I mean that it is your countries honor. I am not an American.. I'm from Spain.." And proud of it. She was annoyed he was in her space and her nose began to tickle at his smell and she lifted her hand to wave him off. "Please... stand down wind.."

This countries honor? Robert sighed and rubbed his brow frustratedly. This girl was giving him a headache. How deluded could one person possibly be. He stood, putting his hands back into his pockets.
"Good seeing you again, Sophia."

She waved him off, to be sure she lived in her own world that was built for her. In her world she was a queen, and he was nothing more then a smelly street urchin.
"The pleasure is all yours, I'm sure.."
