Aria rolled her eyes. "Or they lead themselves to an early grave." She brushed her gloved fingers through Becca's hair. "I'd rather not have strangers encouraging my daughter not to listen to me."

He had to laugh and shook his head, "Alright lassie, listen to your mom, aye?"

Becca smiled sweetly. "I dooooooooooooooooooooooooo." She didn't.
Aria sighed. "What do you do...Mr...?" She smiled slightly. "I didn't catch your name, sir."

Marauder laughed, "MacCloud, Ma'am. Caleb MacCloud.." He nodded and considered how to answer that. "I'm a businessman, Ma'am. Nothing more than a businessman.."

Aria raised an eyebrow. "I've known many a businessman...who say they are nothing more. They are usually much more, and usually cause trouble." The whole kidnapping from the Raconteurs had left a very nasty taste in her mouth.

Maruader watched her for a moment and leaned back in his chair, "I assure you ma'am I am no harm to you or to your bright little lassie here. She's a bright one that's for sure--" he nodded his head and ran his hand threw his hair. "And aye, tis a business you'd find distasteful but for some distasteful is all they have to keep their bellies full.."

"Mum, he said I'm bright!" Becca grinned, looking up at her mother. Aria looked down, putting a gloved finger to her lips. "Shh...adults talking, love."
She looked back up at Caleb, nodding. "...I find it distasteful for more than just you having to feed yourselves by taking from others. There are gainful means of employment. But I suppose you make more money by unlawful means."

He nodded his head, "Ma'am you may have your opinions and I have mine.."

<<new day>>
Flanna sat in the seats, biting her lip nervously. She was letting someone ride Demon for the first time since Razor. It was a good way to make money, and he was a fast horse--if he won, she'd get a cut of the purse. Considering how the paper selling business was going lately, she needed all the money she could get.
She had been trying to find Mr. Caleb, but it was difficult to find the damn boy. She wasn't quite sure where his new home was, so instead she just hoped he wanted to be found, or wanted to find her.

"You summon me, Irish?" The word had gotten around that Flanna had been looking for him and because of that he'd decided to find her. It had taken her a bit but he had. Dropping to the chair beside her he looked over at her and smirked a bit.

Flanna quirked an eyebrow, smirking. "I didn't summon you, Marauder. I just happened to want to see you. Is that a crime?" She looked back at the track, shifting. This was so damn nerve wracking. "How'd you even know I was looking for you?"

He dropped his arm across the back of her chair and pretended to watch the race before he lifted a brow and looked over at her. He'd always liked Irish, even though by history standards they were supposed to hate one another. Sighing he leaned his head back on the chair and shrugged, "Word, Irish. You were looking for me and people who knew me let me know it. At least you were smart about it like always. You asked the right people who told you nothing but made sure I know so I could find you.."

Flanna rolled her eyes. "Frankly, Caleb, I'd rather get true answers, and find you myself. I shouldn't have to go through middle men to find my best friend. And don't give me crap about protecting me. I don't think its right." She crossed her arms over her chest, watching Demon fall behind for a moment.

His hand moved off the back of her chair and gave her hair a toss, "I'm living in Brooklyn, okay? I'm staying at a hotel there so you can find me there if you want-- I know you always like getting it from the horses mouth so to speak.." He grinned at his own joke.
"Come on Flan, I won't stop you doing what you want I never have... I keep on the underside so I stay away from the cops is all."

Flanna looked over at him, poking him in the chest gently. "I know you have to; we all do." Her own record was dangerous to her--she was also having to sell less, lest she get picked up. "But staying low or not, I think you should have found some time for your oldest friend." She let out a sigh of relief, smiling big as she watched Demon win. "That's my boy.." she said under her breath softly.
