Jack and David got to the show about thirty minutes early. Sitting down in the front seats he bought, he sat down, looking at the stage. Since the recent rennovation, things were looking better than ever. It brought back so many memories, with the good ones covering up the few bad--like the ralley. "...Best way to forget your worries..."

David grinned as he followed Jack into the front row. Already, the tension he's felt in the air since the war was starting to disappear. He glanced over, awed by the renovations done to the theater. If the place hadn't been beautiful before, it certainly was now.
"I agree with you on that one, Jack." he said as he sat down, the thoughts of war slowly vanishing from his mind.

Jack smirked and nudged David as Medda came on stage in all her glory. The woman was older, and was definitely showing her wear, but she would always be their Medda. His mind forgot all of the war as he watched Medda go through her act, laughing and singing freely, happy to remember the days when he first took David here what seemed like an age ago.

David grinned, laughing freely for one of the first times since the war started. The issues with Brooklyn, the tension in the air, everything about war flowed out of his head as easily as the words flowed from Medda's lips. He chuckled softly, knowing when he told Les where he'd been the youngest Jacobs boy wouldn't be too happy. After pouting for a bit, he would beg David for information on the show, while making him promise to take him to another show the next day. Shaking his head slightly, he leaned back, content to just enjoy the show.

When the show was over and the lights came up, Jack sighed. Back to reality, and all the issues that came with it. "..ya going back home, Davvy?" He tightened his bandanna a bit and stood, heading out a bit slower than the rest of the crowd.

David sighed as the show ended, wishing it would last longer. The vacation from reality was much needed, and it was sad that it was over so quick. Ah well. He noticed Jack was also going slower than usual, and was glad to have a short delay from real life.
"Yeah, I probably should get home soon. Les'll have a panic attack otherwise."

Jack sighed. "...yeah." He smiled lopsidely at the thought of Les. He would be upset at David for going without him.
"...I think I'm just going to wander a bit. I'm not ready to go back to the lodging house, ya know?"

(new day, for Jinxy)
He lead, her by the hand to their front row seats. He looked around. Wow, he thought to himself. It was so cool, almost every day he passed this wonderful place, but had never bothered to come in. "So," he said "This is it!" he had never been to any sort of show before now.

Jinxy nodded happily, allowing him to lead her in. She knew that she would be critical of the dancers, but she would hold it in. He assumably wouldn't know what she was talking about anyway--few people did. Her own sister was befuddled when she started talking pliets and f-sharps, and she'd lived in close proximity to them for her entire life.
"Oui, zis is it. It is grand, no?" She beamed at him and looked around herself, enjoying the atmosphere. She didn't have to worry about being on next, or judging what her partner did to set her off. She could just enjoy the show in good company, and that was more of a relief than anything.

"Yeah, it really is" the closest thing to real dancing he had ever seen involved a bar and 15 pretty girls. He watched with amusement as the curtain began to rise. "Is it starting?" he asked even though he was sure it was.

She nodded, smiling as she crossed one leg over the other and leaned slightly toward him. "Oui, it should start soon." She wondered what there could be to tell him about the event, but even though she was a professional performer, she couldn't think of what she should say. She leaned in slightly, so that her shoulder leaned against his, and watched as the first troupe of dancers pawed their way onto the stage.

Rick watched the men and women dance across the stage. He looked over at Jinxy. Never in a million years did he think he, would be at dance, a dance at Irving hall with a pretty girl. It watched the men lift the girls one their shoulders. They made it look so easy, Like it was nothing at all.

*New Day*
There were definitely some perks working for who he worked for. The job wasn't all bad. It was good money and it gave him a lot of standing even at his young age. And what's more, he got to enjoy shows such as these at close range for next to nothing. The girls who danced at Irving Hall weren't nothing to sneeze at -- they were definitely attractive, but the way he saw it, they were nothing like the girls down in Harlem. Still, he enjoyed a good show when he had the time to catch one.

Front row, middle seat. Valerie's choice seat. Valerie's seat. And she was staring at this... person sitting in it like he owned it. Well, truthfully, she didn't either. But of all the seats! A8! Her seat!
Valerie took a deep, calming breath and walked over to the man. He looked well off, at any rate. And though she was upset about where he was sitting, she was impressed with his ability to appear as if he really did belong there.
She began with a light chuckle, her voice expressing every bit of light, playfulness a girl with her upbringing was taught to display. Whether any girl meant any of it... well, that was up to them. Valerie prided herself on how much kinder and open minded she was than some of the other girls in her social standing.
"Oh, dear. Excuse me, sir," She spoke ever so politely and smiled sweetly, "But I was hoping you might trade seats with me? You see, I always sit there during performances."
