Danny? she moved from the bed and covered herself with the blanket, opening the door just a little bit but she hid pretty well. She hadn't seen him in a little while and she at least managed to smile threw the black eye and cut lip even if it did hurt. "Hey, Danny.." she tried, to be the same old Tate but she was in a lot of pain still. Crazy girl attacking her.

His face contorted slightly,a barely perceptible look of anguish crossing his features. "Who did this?" Danny was never really one for chit chat, especially in situations like this where he wouldn't know what the hell to say anyway. He was very aware that he couldn't see her fully, and was grateful; It was bad enough through the cracked open door and blanket. "Who hurt you Tate?"

Her eyes shifted away and then back to his face, she leaned against the slightly ajar door and looked up into his face. It was the first time in a long time she just let the smile fall. "Some girl jumped me when I was closing up," she murmured as if she were afraid to divulge more. "I didn't know what she was going on about or anything, I didn't understand. I thought she was going to rob the store but.." she sighed and reached threw the crack, tugging on his sleeve a little bit. Just a slight bit of contact from someone that cared about her so she could feel better. "I'm okay.."

Danny instinctively took her hand when she reached out, but his ever relaxed expression held only hints of anger. A girl did this? There was only one place in all of New York where girls beat the shit out of each other for no good reason. Brooklyn.
Before turning to leave he took a step closer, her hand still in his. "Don't worry, I'll take care of it, okay?" He wasn't hot-headed by any means, and there were only two reasons he ever went looking for a fight-- for money, or for friends. In this case, his friend had been beaten to a bloody pulp in the streets, and Brooks loyalty or no, Danny would make them pay. Instead of dropping her hand before he left he placed is back at her side, gently letting it go. Turning to leave he stopped short, glancing back. "Anyone here messes with you, let me know yeah?"

She looked up at him when he stepped closer and she didn't shy away. About all she knew at that moment was that Danny was going to do what he could. Whatever he could, even if she didn't know why. She was still grateful for it.
"Don't worry, I'll take care of it, okay?"
She gave his own hand a slight squeeze though there wasn't much strength in her grip right now. She offered him a weak smile, "Just be safe for me okay?" She knew now why he'd tried to protect her, the world she lived in-- wasn't always the same as the one he did. But she wanted their worlds to collide more under better circumstances. When he set her hand back down gently it touched her heart. He always treated her like she was special and he probably didn't even think about it.
"Anyone here messes with you, let me know yeah?"
She nodded her head slowly but smiled a little bit, her lip would start to bleed again if she smiled to much. "I don't think anyone will but-- thank you. I promise.. I'll send for you if something happens.." even if she had to put a note in a bottle in the river, she would find a way to get word to him. "I'll be going home soon anyway.."

*NEW DAY*
Lexi knocked on Dodgers door, she figured he outta know that Perry was missing. She just wasn't exactly sure how to say it without falling apart. As it was she was barely holding herself together, but she was trying to keep her emotions in check because they wouldn't aid her at all. Part of her hoped that somehow he would just know and she could just go back to the girls lodging house without having to say the words. She just wanted to sleep, but she knew she wouldn't be able to tonight. Not with all the wondering she'd be doing about her brother. Where was he? Was he safe? Hurt? Crying? Was someone taking care of him? Why had they taken him? Who had taken him?
