"Why dun that surprise me?" she said glancing over her shoulder at him. "Youse comin' along, or you got othah places ta go to, and othah people to meet?" she asked. She figured she'd offer the guy a way out if he needed one. He may have just been a nice guy, but if he was looking for an escape route, or was getting tired of her, she wasn't going to make him stay. Not her place really.

Mike made his way through the busy train station, tipping his hat to various passers by who offered him subtle grins of thanks, and wondering if it was really him they wanted to thank, or simply the sense of security his uniform brought their lives. If they really knew him and what he did, he was sure they would spit rather than smile at him.
As he passed by some street kids to his left he nearly paused mid-step, slowing his pace and taking another look at them. The larger boy looked like a run-of-the-mill street kid to him, but the shorter one, there was just something about his face that seemed so familiar. Stopping completely he turned, making his way toward them. There were always so many photos at the station of faces to look out for, people on the run, that a slight recognition wasn't something most officers took lightly.
((Correct me if I'm wrong here Prince, but she's on the run because of her father right? So it's reasonable to have cops looking for her?))

"Yeah i'm da king of England love"Joe smirked at Prince and took one last look around the crowd, his eyes catching on Michael as Michael's eyes scanned past him and onto Prince. Joe smiled a bit, his face was just like any other face easy to forget, but Prince was another story. Smoothly Joe moved in front of her as he put his arm over her shoulder like he would with his mates and whispered in her ear. "Do you trust me?" he looked around, anywhere but in her eyes. Easily he moved them into the pub and into the mass of people, always completely aware of Michael following them.

Something in his voice said... that at that moment she needed to. And at that moment she had no reason not to. "...yeah," she whispered back as she looked at him. After all she didn't have a clue what was goin' on. So she was just going with the flow. But none the less she got curious, and fought the urge to look over her shoulder as she was lead into a pub and a mass of people, confusion ruling her mind.
((It's very reasonable. Prince ran away from home when she was about 13 years old or so. She's been gone for about 5 years, but Snyder is too stubborn to take down the posters of a girl after 5 years, so yes, they'd still be hanging up, and though she'd look different there would be obvious similarities. Thanks for double checking! But yeah, you're fine! Though I really do appreciate it!))

Mike squinted his eyes as he tried to see through the crowd, quickly picking up his pace as he saw them stepping into the nearby pub. He had definitely made eye contact with the taller one before they turned away, and their hiding made him sure he was on to something. Slowly he slid through the pub door behind a small group of people, quickly scanning the darkness for the pair. As much as he hated his job, he couldn't help but seek the approval of his brutal counterparts at the station, and bringing in a wanted criminal on his own would be sure to turn some heads.

Joe looked at Prince as they reached the middle of the drunken mass. "Sorry, but this is going to hurt like bloody hell." He kissed her cheek before drawing away, balling his fist up and punching her in the face.
He stood still for a second, his body filling with adrenaline, if she didnt understand, if she didnt follow him the right way there was no way they were getting out of here. If she hesitated for a brief second or ran away in tears, she was caught and he, hell he had no idea what would happen. And he didnt want to find out.
Come on lass put it together. Mass of drunks, everyone of them Brooks. Brooklyn pub, and they needed to get the hell out of dodge without Michael seeing them. Bloody Hell, Put it together lass

Prince's mind was reeling! One from the punch, two from the kiss, three from all the weird things that were going on in the past few minutes. But she had to think straight, she had to... there must be a reason... why after all that... would he punch her AND kiss her... apologizing for the punch she was sure. She raced as she thought quickly... dodging, ducking... a punch? She did what her boylike instincts said... and prayed that was what he'd been going for. But she knew she'd have a beautiful bruise come tomorrow.
"You sonovah!" she lunged at Joe, though missed by half a millimeter, whether it was purposeful or not it was hard to tell, but instead ended up slamming her fist into a guy right behind him, making him mad too!
The man instantly cursed at Prince and started after her. Meanwhile, Prince's focus went back to "attacking" Joe, while dodging the man she had just angered... she was hoping she could get a bar fight started, and she was hoping that was close enough to what Joe was looking for... she wasn't some dumb girl anymore. In fact, throwing punches, getting in fights, getting her blood moving... made her feel a whole lot better already!

Joe spun around slamming his fist into the man going after Prince and hurled a table onto a group a drunks. The Bar broke into a mass of thrown punches, over turned tables and angered yelling. Blood was everywhere. Joe's smirk stretched across his face. God he loved a good fight. His fist connected with anyone close enough to reach. A man hurled a punch at Joe and a bar wench attacked him from behind. He spit out blood and threw the wench into the man. A scratch marred his cheek. He grinned grabbed a bottle of whiskey and took a swig before making his way to Prince.
"Beautiful Love." he winked at Prince nodding for her to follow him as he pushed his way through the fight. Michael would have a hard time to get this sorted out. "Fire Escape!" he called over his shoulder just as a whistle was heard. He smiled all the harder. God yes!

As the action grew around her Prince was careful, as always, not to lose her hat, or her footing. But getting her aggression out on the men around her, was well worth it! This was, by far, the most fun she'd had in a long time. In the process she'd come out with one solid and beautiful black eye, several other bruises, and a sore hand come the next few hours, and tomorrow. But she loved it! She lost track of all going on around her, but she knew she punched the same guy a few times... because he just wouldn't give up.
Suddenly she turned to punch a man behind her only to realize it was Joe. At first she was only slightly wary, after all he had just punched her in the face, but a smile told her that he was a safe companion for her. Prince took the hint of the nod and quickly hurried after him. Wherever he was going now, she figured that she had better go too! The words fire escape were heard over the crowed, so she knew at least how he intended on getting her out of there.
She heard a whistle call out just as she ducked out the door. She was still unsure of exactly what was going on, but was beginning to think that if she wanted to make it any more in new york city, she may have to change a thing or two.

Joe rested against the wall just outside the fire escape and grabbed Prince as she rushed by. "You in a hurry love?" He smirked and lit a cigarette. His knuckles were bloody and he had a good shiner not to mention a few scrapes that still bled here and there. God he felt good.
Rolling his shoulders he pushed her deeper into the shadows away from the door. Just in case anyone followed he wanted to be between them and her. Taking a drag and letting it burn through him. Joe couldnt seem to get rid of the grin that spread across his face. "I suggest we find a different place ta get warm." He lip twitched in amusement "Seems dat dat place might be a little rough."

The wall was hard as she was brought close to it, and to Joe as she tried to escape. Her mind had gone into panic mode there for a moment, but now that she knew what was going on, and who was around her she could think clearly again.
With all the adrenaline rushing through her all she wanted to do was sock Joe in the face and walk away, but she knew better. She glanced back at the door they had bolted out of slightly nervous. Just because there was a brawl didn't mean the cop would be stopped completely. She was slightly nervous that something could still go wrong, she would rather not just sand there and wait for that something to happen.
"Thanks," she said quietly to the man who had just saved her head. She was getting a bit too self-confident on all of this. She needed to keep herself better in check. She needed to get some things done... she wasn't going to be able to keep hiding like this forever... not in the way she had been. As it was obvious... it was getting easier to spot her girl-like qualities. Her boyish figure was diminishing, and her face was looking more like her mother's every day. She'd need to do something soon.
"Shall we move then?" she asked him. After all, she wasn't comfortable staying there, even though the fight had been worth starting, and had her feeling a little stronger, it was still not something she wanted to do. No point waiting around for trouble.
Without waiting for an answer she started down the alley way. She figured Joe would come along, if just to avoid the trouble himself, though that was entirely up to him. And knowing how predictable he'd been thus far... she half expected him to dive back into the fight.

Joe meandered along behind him. He knew that the slower you went the less you were to attract attention. Putting his arms behind his head he stretched his back and winced as a bruise protested loudly. He grinned. He loved this feeling. Dropping his arms he took another drag of his cigarette and walked. Watching Prince look this way and that like a scared deer. Her eyes were as big as one that was for sure.
"Love, You need to calm down." He put his arm around her shoulder in a friendly reassuring manner, not looking at her just in case it might upset her. "We'll head off this way and den da bull wont be able ta follow." he took another drag and dropping his arm he headed down a brightly lit street.
"Sorry bout the shinah." He called over his shoulder stretching again and walked with his hands on his head and a smile stretching his mouth.
(we could head over to the bridge if you want to...Also it may take me awhile to respond my computer crashed so no internet access very often for me. Sorry.)

Who did this guy think he was, the leader of Brooklyn? he sure had a cocky attitude, weird. Prince didn't think much of it. The guy sure did think highly of himself. Prince thought about the black eye... she started to think how she'd look different with it... her mind started to drift.
She fell slightly behind Joe so hurried to catch up. As she did so, she could feel some of the shorter hairs tickling the back of her neck .Her mind continued to wander a little more, and she began to wonder how long she could keep this up.
She needed to head to Manhattan. "You gonna escort me outta the borough?" she asked with a smirk, as though she needed a chaperon. "I'm headin' towards the brooklyn bridge, Manhattan," she stated just to let him know where she was going. She looked him dead in the eye and gave a boyish smirk. She was a bit more focused now, and not as obvious.
((It's okay, no worries. I'll go ahead and post at the bridge with fighter.))
