Jim grinned to himself, glad that she was out of the way as he hoisted yet another crate down to the loading dock. As he came back he glanced briefly down into the water, and, not seeing her anywhere, assumed she must have finally left. He had prevailed once again.

Silently breaking the surface Manhattan eased through the water to the ladder and climbed back on the crates without a sound. Cool and no longer sweaty she watched him work, wondering what exactly made him tick and what would make him loose his cool. Everyone had a breaking point. Even a self proclaimed jerk. Setting her head on her knee she cocked her head and just observed. Sure she could see he was good looking but she wasnt attracted to him. No she was still here just to figure him out or to test his cool, she hadnt decided yet. So she watched her eyes curious and a smile no where in sight.

As he hoisted another crate into his arm he saw her sitting a few stacks away watching him. Sighing he paused, shifting the heavy crate in his arms. "Is there somethin' you want?"

Manhattan looked at him her head cocked like a puppy's when someone is trying to get their attention. "Whats your name?" she asked.

"Jim." He turned and headed back down the docks, turning his head and throwing a "Bye" over his shoulder at her as he went.

Snitch had finally just finished selling his last pape, it took him forever because it was a hot day and nobody really goes outside except the newsies and factory workers and all of the other workers there are.
Snitch sat at the end of the dock and was longing to jump into the river... so he took his shirt off and his pants off to leave his long under ware jumped which ended with a SPLASH!

Pockets was walking around looking for Snitch, when she saw someone she thought she knew take of their clothes except for there long underwear.
She watched them as they jumped in the water with a splash, and she started laughing.
While she was walking up to the end of the dock, she was giggling uncontrollably. "Hi Snitch..."

When Snitch jumped into the water her herd a noise, but he just ignored it and kept swimming underwater until he didn't have anymore air left, so her came up for more air. When he came up he saw Pockets walk up to him.
"Hi Snitch..."
Snitch's eyes went wide when he saw pockets. "Heya Pockets, what ya doin hea, and why are ya laughing so much?" asked a nervous Snitch.

"Oh, I was just lookin' around for ya. I'm laughing 'cause da only t'ing yoah wearin' is yoah undaweah!" Pockets burst out laughing.

"You were looking for meh?" asked Snitch. Snitch looked into pockets eyes, and smirked when he saw a shine in them. "Well i have ta cool off don't i?" said Snitch

"Yeah I was looking foah ya. Yeah, I guess you gotta cool of sometimes." She smiled at him, then jumped off the docks into the water after taking of her hat and boots.

Snitch was startled when Pockets decided to join him in the water after all most girl don't really like to swim in there clothes.Snitch went under the water he was gonna go up behind Pockets and pretend to scare her.

When Pockets jumped in, she saw Snitch's face. He looked very suprised. When she came up to the surface, she didn't see him.
"Snitch? Wheah are you?"

Snitch grined under the water. Snitch swam to the top so that he was treding water very quietly so that Pockets couldn't see or hear him. "BOO" shouted Snitch.

"AH!" Pockets turned around to see Snitch there. She grinned and dived under the water. Pockets grabbed Snitch's ankles and pulled him under the water.
When she got back up to the surface, she was giggling uncontrollably but she was treading water.
