With a carousel and a ferris wheel, this place is a blast!

Fighter jammed her hands into the pockets of her coats trying to ward off the bitter cold that seemed to infest every part of your body this time of the year. If it weren't for Brogan she may not still be breathing these days but that didn't mean she wasn't cursing the girl under her breath at this very moment. "Stupid git, couldn't have picked a pub or such to meet at. No...had to be the damn park."
Fighter picked up the pace as she drew closer to the figure in the distance, thinking that was Brogan. It wasn't until she got close enough to the figure to notice the vast differences between her friend and the stranger standing in front of her. 'And here i thought, we'd be the only two loons crazy enough to come out here in this weather.'

[new day]
Nick pulled a cigarette from his pocket. It was his last one and one hed stolen from another kid. Lighting it he took a drag from it, letting the smoke out slowly. A scowl was set on his lips as he looked at the kids running around the amusement park. Some of them were dressed all nicely, barely able to stray five feet from t heir respectable parents, while others were kids like him. Wearing grubby clothes, stealing things from each other, scraping change together to get on a ride.
Nicks nose flared a bit and he looked away turning from the scene. He took another hit from his cigarette and walked to the closest tree and leaned against it. Hed been avoiding Evie. Sure he wanted to see her, but he had nothing to offer her and she deserved everything. Her brother had been keeping a tighter eye on her and hed even came to see him personally. Ever since then he hadnt gone to see evie. Hed watched her from afar, maybe she knew maybe she didnt. He missed her and he noticed hed gotten grumpier since his lack of seeing her, talking to her. He wished shed just leave that brother of hers, but then again... like shed said. he was her only family. Wouldnt he have doen the same....

<<NEW DAY>>
Fighter strolled through the amusement park with Gwennie, "What'cha wanna do first? I haven't been here in forever." Fighter smiled down at Gwennie, taking a drag of her cigarette and thinking to herself that she'd need to get more tobacco soon so she'd be able to roll up some more cigarettes.

"I dunno" said Gwennie, awed by the lights and festivities around her "how 'bout da carosel?" she suggested, looking up at Fighter excidedly.

Fighter nodded and grinned, holding her hand out to Gwennie. "Sounds like a plan, I love the carousel." She did it used to be the first ride she would go one when she was younger and would come here with her uncle. "Maybe later we can get some cottoncandy." Thankfully lady luck had decided to shine on her today and she enough money to cover some rides and some food for both of them without being completely broke, but she knew tomorrow she'd be working her butt off to make up for it. That didn't matter right now though, she loved making children smile and Gwennie had managed to work her way into Fighters heart already.

"Yay!" exclaimed Gwennie, grabbing Fighter's and pulling her in the direction of the carosel. "Which horsie do ya wanna ride?" she asked as they reached the carosel.

Fighter laughed as Gwennie dragged her in the direction of the carosel. As they got closer and Gwennie asked her what horse she wanted to ride, she pretended to think it over. "I dunno...which one do you want?" Fighter didn't have a preference and she wanted Gwennie to be able to experience it all for herself. She decided she'd just pick one next to the girl.

Fighter nodded and grinned, "I see it, Gwennie, lets head ovah t'at way." She started walking towards the horses after giving the gentleman some coins. She decided to ride the blue one next to Gwennie's because she wasn't gonna leave the girl by herself.

Fighter grinned, "I think I'll name him Swifty." Laughing she leaned over to give Gwennie a pat on her shoulder. "You're right t'is is fun." She hadn't been on the carousel in years and it felt like longer. It brought back a lot of really great memories of her and her uncle.

Fighter smiled and laughed, "Yes it certainly is." She loved the fact that Gwennie was enjoying it. All of the young ones should have the chance to experience something like this. Fighter held on loosely to the pole that went through the horse in front of her as it went round and round. She tilted her head back a little and closed her eyes, leaning back slightly just like she used to as a kid. This was as much fun as she remembered it being.

"Go Steve, Go!" yelled Gwennie zealously as the carosel went around reletively slowly, though it seemed very fast to her.
