The Caprice Ballroom has become a makeshift hospital for Tuberculousis patients. A large skylight has been put in to let in light and fresh air, beds line the walls. Come here and find Aria or one of her helpers to get a bed here. Everything is free of charge.

Eleanor crossed her arms, waiting outside the newly-designated quarantine. She figured Ariannette would have to come around soon, and waited to offer her assistance. Her own medical knowledge, by no means limited, would doubtless come in handy when there were too many patients for Ariannette to take care of alone.

Aria came up to the Quarinte, looking a bit tired, wearing a grim smile. Seeing Eleanor she sighed. "Are you sick, cher?"

"No, I'm perfectly alright. I judge by your expression that you need help, and so I offer my assistance." She offered a reassuring smile, and waited for Ariannette to respond.

Aria raised an eyebrow. "...Oh...well.." She smiled brighter. "That's a pleasant surprise...do you have any knowledge in nursing?"

"Indeed I do, learned as much as I never thought I'd need to know at my mother's insistence." She glanced down at Ariannette's all-too-obvious condition and frowned. "Which means, darlin', you should let me handle things for a while. Stress and exhaustion is no good for the baby."

Aria shook her head, taking a taller stance, hands on hips. "I think not..you can work for me...but I know very well what my body and my child can handle...I'll be the one to judge when I need to rest." She looked Eleanor over. "...especially when I don't even know your name." She put her gloved hand out. "I'm Arianette. You can call me Aria. Or Mrs. Carter if you prefer."

"Eleanor Richards." She shook Aria's hand, frown still in place. "Well, alright, Miz Aria. I'm sorry, but I do tend to fuss over people. I have got to stop fussing over strangers..." The last part was muttered to herself, but still loud enough for Aria to hear.

Aria chuckled. "...just remember I am much older than you young woman." She smiled. "Pleased to meet you Eleanore." She smiled. "...just make sure you watch out for yourself...we don't want you sick as well. Though I suppose the same could be said about myself."

"Nice to meet you too." She glanced down the street, a little concerned. "Ah well, if there's sick folks needing help then standing around chatting's not the best idea. But I leave judgment calls up to you, Miz Aria." Years of being told to respect her elders had been too deeply ingrained in Eleanor to leave any room for hasty decisions, and she'd let Aria decide.

Aria smiled softly. "Some people should be coming here soon...I've been traveling about, dealing with a few...I'm going to try and get most of them here." She ran a hand htrough her hair. "Once we get word of someone being sick, perhaps you can go do a visit, next."

"Gotta start somewhere, I suppose. I do wish there was no need for us to tend the sick..." She sighed softly, her brown eyes darkening with concern. This illness was vile and couldn't have had worse timing.

Aria smiled and rubbed Eleanor's shoulder. "Well..thats the best attitude to have..." She sat down in a chair. "...I'm getting myself a wheelchair to make it easier for me here...so I dont have to walk a lot."

"...Yeah..." Eleanor sighed again. Her hands were getting cold; she exhaled her warm breath on them but it wasn't quite enough, so she rubbed them together.

Aria smiled. "Sorry its cold in here..." She gestured to the open windows. "I just want to air this place out a bit before we light fires..." She paused. "I hope you aren't expecting pay..I can give you food and shelter, but pay I can't..."
