"If you really want to," she told him. Before she actually showed him her drawing book, though, she looked around for a suitable place to sit. Luckily, there was a bench nearby, which she wasd able to brush the snow off of and sit down on.

As she moved to sit down, she motioned for him to join her. Whether he sat down or not, she would still pass him the book to look through. Inside the book, there were mostly pictures of landscapes, animals, and flowers.

Blake sat down takign the book from her and flipping through it, nodding in approval at the drawings. "Your not too bad'He grined finally looing through the last of them he handed the book back to her. "how long you been doing that?"

"Well, it's always been a hobby of mine, but I never really did it for anyone but myself until recently." She tucked the book into a large bag when he handed it back. "Not the best job in the world, I know. But it does pay a little."

HE shrugged a bit and smirked. "Ya gotta do what you gotta do"he said. "Cause other wise..what can you do"he leaned back. "oh.. I suppose..'He said, "Im Blake'He held his hand out to her his brows rose questioning as he waited fo rher to introduce herself as well.

She took his hand, shaking it firmly. "Riley Donovan. What friends I have call me 'Smudge' or 'Smudgie'." She grinned wickedly, then added, "But most don't get away with calling me 'Smudgie' without a mark to show for it."

"hmm... a smudge mark?"he teased and shook his head, "Nice to meetyou"He said and shrugged. "im jsut called Blake, and a fewe other things, but nothing that is appropriate in front of a lady"he winked at her.

"Not appropriate, huh?" she repeated, laughing. "Betcha I've heard worse from my brother, though."

He shrugged. "mm... things left better unsaid'He commented. "So you made mention earlier..that you... get paid now for you rwork? or did i hear wrong?"

[firecat]

She nodded. "Yeah. I charge for my work. Five cents for a single portrait, ten for more than one person. I can draw a single portrait in less than ten minutes...otherwise it's free." She grinned widely at her own claim.

[blake]

He smirked his brows raisng. "really?'he said, "care to demonstrate?'he asked her, he wanted to see her do it.

Her grin widened. "Oh, I'd be more than happy to." She pulled her drawing book out again, as well as a pencil. "Just sit reeeeeeeally still for me, ok?" She waited for no response, and just started drawing. Every now-and-again, she would look up at him to make sure she was doing things right.

He gave a slight nod as he sat as still as he could. He waited for her to tell him she was finished before he relaxed back. "man..thats hard to do for so long'he smirked. "Well.. you made it"he said as he looked ather. "lets have a look"

Sure enough, she finished a pretty decent picture within a period of ten minutes. Once she finished putting in a few final touches, she showed him the drawing. "That'll be five cents," she teased.

He smirked looking it over. "hey.... you really captured me'He said it was more of tease as he looked at her digging into his pocket he pulled out a dime. "here... ill tip ya as well"he winked at her, what did he care, wasnt his money.

She frowned slightly. It was more than she usually charged, thus she was tempted to give it back. She even started to hand it back to him. "This is too much," she told him.
