Fame got the idea fast enough and realized that she had just been thrown into a ridiculously awkward situation. It made it more awkward for her to be there, she was sure, from Mayhem's point of view.

Mayhem turned scarlet and simply said, "Maybe." Then was saved by the waiter asking what she would like. She asked for just a glass of water then turned back towards the conversation. "What are you trying to get out of me Lightning?" she asked.

"Oh nothing." he replied with a sly look on his face. He turned towards Fame.
"I see how it is then...So Fame, you with anyone?" he asked sneaking a glance at Mayhem to see how she would react.
He could have fallen out of his chair from laughing so hard when he saw her expression. It was Priceless.

Fame just glared at him, disliking being a pawn in his immature game. "Aw shet up, youse aint doin nothin but makin us both mad." She said, scooting her chair out to leave.

Mayhem's water had arrived and she picked it up to take a sip.
Lightning's remark made her look up at him in disbelief and astonishment.
At Fame's outburst, Mayhem dropped her glass of water and shattered on the floor.
Mayhem couldn't take this humiliation, not in front of Lightning. Tears welled up in her eyes and she too made a move to leave. She pushed her chair back, making it fall over, and ran from Tibby's with tears streaming down her face like little rivers.

Lightning felt that familiar wave of guilt wash over him once again whenever Mayhem was around.
"May! Don't - " he started to say but it was too late. She was already out the door.
Lightning got up angry at himself, said a quick "bye" to Fame, and headed out the door to find Mayhem.
He had overdone it this time...

Buck Breaker walked into Tibby's and saw a few people who she could tell were newsies, maybe they had something in common with her. "Eh, can I sit hea'?" She asked with a big smile, walking up to one of the newsies.

<<new day>>
Jack walked in with Tumbler and Rose, slipping into the back booth. "Whatever you want...its on me." Since he had decided to do what he...well had to do..he'd been in a much better mood.

Rose took a seat at the booth, "Hey now, what'd I tell ya? This time you ain't payin', but do feel free ta get whatever you want," she said the last part in an attempted 'sophisticated' tone, "Ya know, just try ta control your appetite and don't go ordering one of everything." She let out a soft laugh, adjusting her eyes to the menu.

Robbie spotted some customers and strode over to them. "Good afternoon and welcome to Tibby's!"

"Thanks," Rose gave the guy a smile, "Could ya give us a minute? Unless they're all ready to order, in which case could ya give me a minute?" She bit her lip, reading over the menu some more. She didn't come here too often, so she didn't have the menu memorized yet.
"Hey, if ya know what ya want ta eat, go ahead and order. Don't let me slow ya down," she smirked, "After all, I ain't sure if you hungry would be the prettiest sight." A small laugh slipped out, but she cleared her throat quickly afterwards and continued to look over the menu.

Robbie wrote down the boy's order, "Alright just holler when you've decided miss." He smiled at the girl and strode over to the next table.

Rose nodded and smiled at the boy as he walked away.
She turned to face Jack, "Now we can't have that can we? What kinda image does it give us to have a leadah that's all skin and bone? People might think they can push us around," it was a really bad attempt at a joke, "I'll just shut up now," a sheepish grin appeared on her face. "Moving on, how ya been, Jack?"

Jack laughed. "Oi...mayb'e your right...but its better than havin' a roly-poly leadah who is so fat that people can roll him over." He smiled. "...I've been pretty good, Rose. Just you know...setting things in order and all...what about you?"
