Race nodded, looking back out at the track. "Maybe I should talk to 'im," he mumbled more to himself than to Prince. He respected Spot probably more than anyone in the city, but he was also his friend, and wondered if perhaps Spot wouldn't kill him for stepping foot in Brooklyn.

"Well, I wouldn't suggest it. Youse and Spot gots good ties an' everythin', but... since Ace jus' pulled out like he did, I ain't sure that it's safe for even Brooklyn newsies to be in Brooklyn," she said rolling her eyes a bit. Though, she meant every single word of it.

"Yea I guess you're right," he said in a soft tone, his confidence draining. Puffing at his cigar he kept his eyes on the track, but his mind was clearly somewhere else. "Ya know, he's not a bad guy," he said, his voice still quiet. He glanced briefly at Prince, but quickly returned his eyes to the horses. "He's just..." He didn't know how to finish that statement, and felt stupid for even saying anything. Sighing, he took a long drag on his cigar, puffing out the smoke slowly.

"Just watchin' out for his kids... just protective... just like all of us," Prince said giving him three endings to his sentence. "Trust me, had it been someone from my lodgin' house killed I dunno that I wouldn't be jus' like Spot. He jus wants ta keep his boys safe. My poisonal opinion is that he does a real good job on most days, but he just went a bit far this time. But, dat's jus da way I think," she said with a shrug. She didn't think Spot was a bad person either, but the war seemed a bit much to her, though she remembered being all for it at the time, just like the others, so who was she to talk?

((New Day))
Alley walked up to the seats. A race was just about to start. She wasn't one to actually sit down and watch these things. She didn't like the way they treated the horses though she wasn't a horse person. Today though was just an odd day and she decided she'd just sit and watch. She liked to see them run i reminded her somewhat of a freedom in a sense that they had. She took her seat and looked down at the track trying to see all of the horses before the gate went down. She knew she was in Queen's out of her territory but she didn't feel like doing this in Brooklyn she didn't know why seeing as Sheepshead would have been closer but she just couldn't. She took a deep breath as the gates pulled open and the horse ran out of them.

Frost walked up to the seats looking out over the tracks. He was bored and didnt know what else to do. He took a seat up on top and lit up a cigarette as he leaned back and just watched. He wasnt really looking at anything not even the horses, but thats all he really ever did. He didnt take much interest in anything anymore, hadnt for a long time. He wished he had a beer, but since he didnt the cigarette would do. He took a drag on it and blew smoke rings reaching up to poke at them.

Prince was... in need of a serious break to be honest, so she made her way to her local tracks. She looked over the crowed and saw a boy sitting there she'd never seen before. He looked like a newsie though. She wandered down towards him. "Hey..." she said with a wave to him.

Frost glanced up and nodded slightly to her. "Hmm...." He turned his attention back to the tracks, seeming to have ended the conversations before it even started. ((ok..that didnt come out right hehe but you know ))

...okay. Prince raised an eye brow at him. "You... you a newsie?" she asked him. Seems like she didn't think the conversation was over and was bound and determined to continue it if she could.

He glanced at her raising his brow. She was obvoiusly going to talk to him anyway. He leaned back so he could look at her and nodded. He took a drag on his cigarette and then pulled another one out offering it to her.

Prince took it from him. "Thanks," she said going towards her pocket for her matches. "Funny," she said appearing, sounding, and acting like a boy at the current time. She always did out in public, "I ain't seen you around," she said with a slight shrug.

Prince raised her eyebrows at him. "Wull... it's sorta expected, since I am da Queens leadah," she said in a low tone before she offered her hand to him. "Prince," she said stating her name.

He glanced down at her hand then up at her face and nodded shrugging slightly. "Good luck with that." he took another drag before flicking his cigarette over the edge. "Want to go get some drinks?" he asked her and stood up before waiting for an answer.

Prince looked at him a little shocked. She found him a bit rude to be honest. She stood up and followed after him, dispite her instinks, but she had a feeling she should get to know what this kid was up to. For all she knew, he sided with the Racounter's. "Hey," she said as she dashed after him a little to catch up. "Dontcha think dat was a little rude, jus' walkin' away like dat?"
