Moira shrugged. "No. I mean. I dunno." She ran a hand through her red curls. She was having a horrid time trying to explain things here. She wrung her hands a bit.
"I uh..I really hsould be getting on. I'm going to Arias..." She didn't know the lady, but heard she was letting others borrow costumes for the dance.

Blink was going to late her go, after all, why even do what he came here to do - if he made her nervous? But a coward he was not. "Actually, that's kind of why I came over here." He looked down at the ground and then back to her. "Is anyone taking you to the dance?"

Moira furrowed her brow, blinking a bit. "...uh...of course not." She didn't know many people, and hadn't really expected to be asked. She was just too awkward. She was still worried that she wouldn't find a thing to wear.

"Would you like to go with me?" He played absently with the torn strings on the end of his sleeve.

Moira raied an eyebrow. "Ex...exucuse me?" She started turning red, stuttering a bit. Her hands fluttered at her sides. "You...I just..why?"

Blink, still managing to stay calm, shrugged his shoulders a bit. "We're friends, aren't we? I thought It would be a nice thing to do. And before this, I thought you might have been comfortable enough to go with me."

Moira closed her eyes for a moment and then opened them again, calming down. "Yeah...we are." A frown hit her face for a moment, but she quickly slid it away to a smile. "But...you have other friends...one's you've known longer." She added softly. "Onces that would look better on your arm."

Moira blushed again, wringing her hands. "I just..." She laughed a bit. "I'm sorry. I've never been to a dance. Let alone asked by anyone." Or by anyone as nice or handsome...but she didn't say that.

Moira closed her eyes a bit, covering her face a bit. "Yeah.." She nodded, trying to cover the blush.

"Why do you do that?" He wondered outloud, "You're pretty when you blush." He hadn't really meant to say that outloud, but his tongue had a mind of its own, it would seem.

Moira pulled her hands down quickly, her face turning even redder. "...I look horrid!" She blurted out and then covered her mouth. "I'm sorry...thanks for the compliment." She smiled softly, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear self conciously.

"You do not!" Blinklaughed and shook his head, "I like when you blush." Stupid tongue. Traitor. Stop it. Clearing his throat a bit, he smiled at her. "Its a costume party, right? So...Any idea of what you're going to be?"

Moira figured she wasn't leaving now, so she sat back down next to him, still looking at the ground a bit. Why was he saying such nice things?
She shrugged. "Maybe a pirate or something...I dunno...only thing that seems okay with my tall stick frame."
