"I am not!" Prince protested. Prince rolled her eyes at her friend. "Look heah, I might have a crush on da guy, which if ya tell anyone I'll poisonally make sure you don't say nothin' again, but I ain't 'fallin' hard for him," she said making the point extreamly clear.

Dazzle tried hard not to laugh at Prince, but it was hard. She acceded in holding back the laughter, but she couldn't stop smirking at Prince. "Yoah denyin' it a bit to hard ain't ya? And don't worry, who would I tell? And why would I tell anyone?"

Prince sighed. "Who would ya tell? Anyone and everyone who would listen to ya! And why? B'cause ya could!" she said just a touch angry, but... she wasn't seriously angry. A look on her face you could tell that she was fighting back a laugh too. She sighed again and smiled a little, not bein' able to help it.

"Now Prince, why would anyone have reason ta believe me? Come I am only one of ya lowly newsies. Why would I put my word against yoahs? I mean I wouldn't win. Ya have to much loyalty ta ya," Dazzle said with a smile.

Prince laughed a little not being able to help it anymore. "Alright, alright, still... just keep it quite okay?" she said. Even with all the 'loyalty' that Dazzle spoke of there was a chance things could go bad if they thought she was weak, or love struck at all.

"Yeah ok if ya want me ta, but eventually everyone's gonna know whether ya want dem ta know or not. They just won't hear it from my mouth, I can promise dat." If Prince wanted to try and hide her relationship from the newsies that was fine by her, but the newsies would figure it out eventually. They weren't dumb or blind after all.

Prince nodded. "Yeah, I know," she said with a slight shrug. But what was she gonna do? She'd still rather keep it like this as long as she could. Leaders and their pride... scary combination in most cases, and Prince was no exception. Kids would find out eventually, she just hope it didn't blow up in her face when they did.

Standing up she looked down at Prince, "I promise not ta tell anyone, but a warning to da wise, 'Don't lose ya tempah and don't stress to much if dey treat ya different foh awhile.' They'll get used ta it, if dey do decide ta treat ya different, and everythin' will go back ta where dey at least respect ya. It won't be exactly da same, but every event changes somethin'." Dazzle walked over to the ladder and started climbing down, "I think I need ta go. Think about what I said, it may help ya." She quickly climbed down the rest of the ladder and disappeared into the night.

Prince watched her go silently. She was alone... again... but Dazzle had a point... things couldn't stay the same forever. And this couldn't change things that much, could it. Prince sighed and leaned back looking up at the stars again. She then stopped herself after about thirty seconds, and got up herself. She went down the ladder smiling to herself. As far as this was concerned, she decided it was nothing to worry about, it would all turn out okay... just give it time. She went back inside and it was late enough she started getting the younger ones calmed down for bed.

(later on) Lucky had climbed the fire escape to see what she could see. The alleyways were starting to get cold and she was tired of getting wet when it rained. She could see her old neighborhood from there. She wished silently that her old man were still around. "..dis place.." she shook her head, and rested her head on her arms as she looked out over the city.

<<new day>>
Sneaks lead Lucky to the fire escape of the Queens Lodging house, smiling. "...well..got you home without incident." He smirked. "...what a pity."

she laughed. "Well, can't win them all," she watched him a moment. She didn't want to go in really, she didn't have many people she'd call friends. "When'll I see ya again?" the buzz wearing off, she was going to be sick as a dog, but, the prices we pay.

Sneaks shrugged. He was always running errands for the Raconteurs, and spent a lot of time getting patrons out of their money as a house player in their card rooms. She would enjoy it--but he would rather Lucky not get in with the men. "...Don't know. We could make plans...I have to have plans now adays to see people, sadly." He lit a cigarette, offering her one.

Lucky nodded, she was curious, but she was fairly sure she was happier not knowing. She took the cigarette. "Since I don't have anything that I'd consider important.. what's best for you?" she leaned against the wall and watched him. Freedom was blissfull, to do what she liked, when she liked.

Sneaks shrugged. "...maybe day after tomorrow...Central Park?" He took a long drag on his cigarette before flicking a match, lighting her's for her.
