Flanna hrugged. "Brooklyn. Razor's apartment." She was going to continue when she saw the larger male coming. Old Flanna would have been brash and forceful with this new man...but not this Flanna. Not in public. Her eyes widened a bit and she moved to sit down behind Prince, putting the Queens leader between her and the male.

Brigmal watched as the one girl went to sit behind the other girl. He slightly tilted his head, and looked at the the girl that was now a barrier between him and the other, "Sorry, am I interrupting?" He said, backing up a bit, giving a little more room between them. "I'm just new here, and was just meetin' new people; if you want me ta leave, I can go." He said, his accent a strange version of a New York accent with some more southern accent.

Prince acting like a boy as she always did around new people she glared at him. She was a bit protective. Had she known he was one of her new newsies, she would have been nicer. "Nah," she said looking him up and down. She strengthened her stance and stood tall as she could, and was still about 5 inches shorter than him. "Who are ya?" she asked. She wasn't meaning to be rude, it just came out that way.

Dusty raised an eyebrow at the new boy. She gave him a tight smile before looking down at the ground. She was worried.. about Flanna and the others. What would have happened to her? She surveyed Flanna for a moment before looking to Prince. "He just told you..." she said a little harsher than she meant to.

Brigmal looked to the first girl who spoke to him, then to the other girl who spoke, "Nah, it's ok; I'm new here, I've been travelin' for a couple a day's. I just took up boardin' at the Queens' Lodgin' House." He had no trouble explaining anything about him, until it came to his parents. "I'm startin' ta be a newsie." He explained, tipping his hat a bit to the girls, in some sort of more formal greeting.

Flanna relaxed a bit, but didn't move from her position. Queens wasn't really her home anymore. She watched carefully, fingering her knife in her pocket.

Dusty smiled slightly. "I'm Dusty... welcome to Queens!!!" she was happy that this boy didn't seem to be some scab wannabe. She gave him a cheerful grin and looked at Flanna, smile fading a bit. "Why don't you join us?"

When Prince had asked who he was that hadn't been what she'd meant. She didn't want his name, he wanted his occupation, but couldn't think of a better way to say it. But that was her fault for not knowing what to say. She looked over her shoulder at Flanna making sure she was alright. Seeing that Flanna had relaxed a little she relaxed a bit herself. "Sorry about dat. Name's Prince, ledah of Queens," she said introducing herself. "And I didn't mean ta be so mean," she added. She wasn't usually like that. She'd been in a strange mood recently.

Brigmal smiled as they talked. "Well, it's a good thing we've run into eachother." Brigmal mention of Prince being the leader. He was happy to have met the leader so he knew who to go to with a problem. "I's just been lookin' fer work, and thought I'd try ta be a Newsie. I tried a factory job, but I can't really stay with one thing for too long." He added. "Oh, and don't worry, you weren't dat mean. Besides, I'm new, we've neva met, it's ok ta feel a little hostile towards me." He said, in such a way that it was almost too understanding. "You guys doin' anything special? He asked, still trying to make sure he wasn't stopping them from doing something.
((There you go Prince... I edited it))

Dusty narrowed her eyes slightly. "No... but i'd better be going. " she thought she'd better have a little chat with Avalanche. She smiled and waved to the threesome. "Take care, Flanna, Prince, Brigmal!" and with that she disappeared into the throngs of busy people.

Flanna spoke up a bit, finally. This kid seemed harmless enough. "We were just talking." She paused and then spoke again. "I'm Flanna."

Brigmal looked at the girl who had originally hid from him, "Well, hello Flanna." He stuck his hand out for her to shake it.

Flanna put out her left hand on instinct to shake his hand and then...seemingly flinched and stuffed the hand back in her pocket, only to pull out her right hand. "Sorry. I'm...trying to adjust...had a hard time of things as of late."
She looked at Prince for her to explain better.

Prince looke dback at Flanna. She understood. "Things have been a bit hectic for all of us as of late," she said nodding slightly careful to lower the pitch of her voice so that her voice would match her apearance of a boy. "Dere's dese guys around town, tryin' ta... cause some trouble, and get da newsies involved." She hoped it was implyed that Flanna hat gotten mixed up. Sh

Brigmal looked a little confused at Flanna's actions, and Prince's explanation didn't quite help. Although, it would explain the skittishness of them. "Well, I'm not sure if id's good er bad that I don't know anythin' 'bout dem." He said. He tried to look at Prince as he spoke, but his eyes kept going back to Flanna, wondering what they could have done to her. "What have they been doin' ta you guys and girls?" He asked, wanting to help. "I'd be glad ta help keep them from hurtin' you." He said assuming that Flanna had somehow got hurt which is why she wouldn't show her one hand.
((I've decided that Brigmal's accent is probably one of the oddest one's I've ever done... because it's my (odd) accent. (I speak what I want him to say, and white exactally how I said it). So it's really interesting to write, because I don't really realize how unusual my accent is (or even that I have an accent... althought people tall me about it all the time)... sorry, just had to put that out there.))
