Dusty smiled and pulled herself reluctantly away from the wall. "Okey dokey! Lets find Spotty Poo!" she laughed in spite of herself.

Slick walked up to the shore with her bare feet in the sand she slowly walked into the shallow water. The sun was setting her hair was blowing in the wind and she could hear seguls chirping, oh nature was beautiful.

Jester smiled as she ran up to the shore. She loved the water and it was a nice day. She stopped quickly and kicked her shoes off and then turned back to the shore feeling the sand squeeze between her toes. She laughed as the water came up and swished about her ankles. She felt good and free. She was glad she came here it was definatly looking up.

((New Day))
Dusty strolled casually along the shore line, her hands in her pockets. She had a small smile on her face and she wasn't exactly sure why. Her fingers were cold and she couldn't feel her toes, but to her it didn't matter... she was lost in thought.

Alley walked the shoreline wondering who her next target or job for the racountuers would be. She was enjoying herself with this job a little more then she should be. She spotted Dusty and decided to say hello. They hadn't exactly parted on good terms the last time but Dusty was still her friends. "Hello Dusty"

Dusty looked up at Alleys voice. She muttered a small "hi" but kept walking. She stared at her feet as she went. she missed her friend dearly but she was in no fit state to entertain the fact that she had been wrong. She balled her fingers up inside her pockets, trying to ignore the heavy cloud of emotion hovering over the pair.

Alley followed Dusty for a minute. "Dusty i'm sorry. i probably stepped over the line that day. I...I seem to be doing that more often then not lately." She stopped where she was. She didn't want the tension or whatever it was to be there. Dusty was her friend. The one thing the racountuers would never be to her. She was on her own with them and for some reason when she was with them it felt right to be on her own. But she liked the feeling friends brought more then being alone. "Dusty please i'm sorry."

"Yeah maybe you did. You should watch what you say to people. " she snapped, a little to harshly. She clenched her fists a little tighter. "Listen Alley Cat, it shouldn't matter to you what happens to me... because obviously you don't even care what happens to you" she spat back. Her eyes flashed dangerously. What had happened to that Alley that she had grown to love just recently, how she and Alley had shared eachothers secrets... held eachother when they cried... were there for one another. Now all Dusty could think was remorse and hate towards her friend. It stung slightly, but Dusty pushed it away. "I don't think Spot made the wrong decision. You can forget about staying in Queens." her eyes flashed again, more danger echoed through her soul, she stepped back as not to hit the other. She bit her quivering lip and looked away, out onto the shore line.

Alley looked away. "If that's what you want Dusty." That's all she could say. So she really was alone. She shrugged off what emotion she could still feel. "Goodbye Dusty...I ...I won't bother you again." She turned around and headed in the opposite direction. The newsies meant nothing to her now and the racountuers were all she had. And she knew that she'd die for them two. Though she'd still die for Dusty and Footloose and Jackle and Ramble. Ramble who she hadn't seen in weeks. She'd made some bad mistakes in her life. But it didn't hurt anymore. She was hollow what did it matter you did what you had too, to survive. She vowed to herself she would never let her caring show again it only got her hurt.

Ramble walked aimlessly down the shore line. He could barely see his sister in the distance and another girl. It was Alley. He quickened his pace until he was right in front of her. "Alley." he said rather breathlessly. He took her hands in his and kissed them. "Where have you been... i've been hearing the most horrible stories..." he began to rant on and on about his worry over her. He looked her over a few times. She was still the same Alley... but those stories?

Alley looked at Ramble. She had told herself so many things in those few minutes before he showed up and they all washed away with his presence. What was she doing. She didn't have her head anymore. "Ramble..." She paused hugging him tightly then letting go. "Spot did kick me outta brooklyn for stepping over the line. I...I deviled into you sisters business a little too much. I...I don't know what's going on with me and....The whole reason i've been gone was i was at the doctors i miss carried and i got horrible sick still am a little but...." She trailed off she was fighting back the tears. "Spot broke the only thing i had left." She fell to her knees she knew what made her go crazy like this but she didn't know how to stop the downward spiral that was happening.

He bent down beside her, lifting her chin to look into her eyes. "Relax." he whispered. That was all he needed to say. He gathered her up in his arms and just sat there on the sand, arms around his girl. He kissed the top of her head. "Alley, its not the end of the world." he told her, he knew he sounded insensative, but it was the truth. In many ways he was happy she had misscarried, as truly wicked that sounded. He really wasn't looking forward to taking care of another mans child, he would have, just because he loved Alley, but now that he didn't he was quite relieved. The only child he hoped she would ever carry, would be his own and that hope was merely a fantasy up until a few moments ago. He held her close and whispered sweet italian nothings into her ear. She needed to calm down. It was the only way she could get herself back. "Listen please." he told her. He needed her to know he was there.

Alley leaned into him. She took a deep breath trying to calm her nerves. Everything melted away when he spoke in italian. She turned and buried her head into him. She knew partly that he was glad she misscarried and she was too but it had hurt so bad. The thing that overcame that fact was her locket. She reached up to where it had been once and then put her hand down again a silent tear rolled down her check. she whispered to herself. "I told myself not to cry anymore. it's gotten me in trouble." She loved the feel of Ramble his warmth it was slowly calming her down.
