Flanna nodded. "Of course hun..." She leaned over and gave him a kiss on the forehead.
He was gone most of the time. Some days she went and rode horses with him, and helped him here and there, but lately she had been selling papers more often, saving up money for various things, so their time together was just a few hours each night. But it was enough.

Razor gave her a smile and brushed a strand of her hair behind her ear. He could have said something, but in truth, the smile was more then enough, and words wouldn't have held all he felt, anyway.
Looking over at Mimic, he had a curious expression in his eyes. This kid wasn't half bad....he just hadn't had much oppurtunity to be around them, and so he wasn't sure what to make of the chocolate loving queens kid.

Mimic grinned slightly, nodding. He wasn't the best card player in Queens, but he was alright at Speed, having it been the first card game he could remember being taught. When he had first arrived at the Lodging House almost two years before, the other newsies hadn't considered him old enough to play anything else.
He cast a longing look to his now-empty mug, as if staring at would make it refill itself with the heavenly elixir known as hot cocoa. With a shrug, he tried to forget about chocolate. If he ate or drank anymore, he'd probably end up with a stomach ache tomorrow. Not that he really cared, anyway, but still; he couldn't sell good feeling like crap.

Flanna saw him look at his mug. "Hey Mimic...don't want to give you more today...but I'll make some tomorrow with chocolate chip pancakes, okay?" She smiled softly as she ruffled his hair.
They began to play.

Mimic's hazel eyes lit up, and he nodded enthusiastically. He hadn't had chocolate chip pancakes since...Well, he didn't think he'd ever had them. Or at least, he couldn't remember ever having them, but he had a feeling he'd tasted them before. Probably because he'd try anything with even the smallest bit of chocolate in it.
The Queens kid's tongue stuck out the right side of his mouth comically as he played, obviously focused on the card game.

Razor cast glances between the two of them a few times as the game went on. Ruffling his hair with one hand, he perched sideways in the chair. His eyes were foccussed as he payed strict attention to the game. When he got into something, it usually took all of his attention and nothing else.

Mimic continued to concentrate on the game. However, after a few minutes, exhaustion set in. About halfway through the game, his eyelids grew heavy. The next time his turn came up, he was asleep, so quiet it was hard to realize he wasn't merely resting. His cards grew slack in his hands as he slept, a small smirk still plastered to his face.

"Well gee, that didn't take long." Razor set his cards down as he got to his feet, carefully picking the little boy into his arms, holding him gently. "Where?" He asked Flanna softly, trying not to wake him up.

Flanna smiled softly and gestured to the couch. "...just here hun." She would have suggested Blade's room...but it was a bit of a weapon's storeroom-not a good place for a kid. Leaving and coming back with blankets and a pillow, she layed them out.
She watched Razor carefully. He wasn't as bad with kids as he thought.

Carefully laying Mimic down on the couch, he arranged him so he was laying on the pillow and gently covered him with the blanket, knowing it sometimes got cold in the room. "Sleep well." He murmurred in gaelic, moving to clean up some of the table.

Flanna smiled and crept up behind Razor, giving him a soft kiss. "Go to bed hun..I'll clean up. You got an early morning." She rubbed his back a bit, nodding back to the bedroom. "I'll be there soon."

He wrapped her in his arms, bringing their lips together for a more solid kiss. "I dunno...i cant really sleep without you." He was being quite honest with her, but it wasn't scary to think about it. He had trouble sleeping without Flanna by his side. It was fact.

Flanna sighed. Razor just kept getting better and better. "Well gee. Guess I'm going to bed early from now on." She smirked and leaned against him, kissing his nose playfully. "Can't have you falling off a horse." Not that he ever would.
Smiling softly she shrugged. "Forget cleaning...I have to make chocolate pancakes in the morning for that spunk." She nodded over to Mimic. "...lets go to bed now." She whispered in his ear before grabbing his hand, leading him to the bedroom.

"Me? Off a horse?" He snorted and playfully ruffled her hair, burying his fingers in it. "Nevah, dahlin." The mere thought of that happening was amusing. He had basically grown up on a horse.
He let himself get tugged, making sure all of the lights were shut off save for one, incase Mimic got up or something and needed to find his way around.

The next morning Flanna slipped out of bed, careful not to wake up Razor. Seeing Mimic was still asleep, she moved over to the kitchen, starting the chocolate chip pancakes.
About thirty minutes later they were almost done, and she had chocolate milk and syrup for Mimic, juice and normal milk for her and Razor. Despite her tough exterior, she liked being domestic--at least with cookiing.
