Alley giggled. "Well that's what youth does these days right. Its a cool name. I suppose i should tell ya how i got mine seein' as you told me how you got yours." Alley was smiling part of this memory was a good memory. "Let's see where to start. I'll just give ya the short version. When i became a newsie i didn't have a nickname for awhile. being as i was like 6 and no one could figure out what to call me yet. When i was 7 on my birthday the guys got together and finally figured out what they wanted to call me after a few names were thrown out. They all agreed on Alley Cat basically cause when they found me i was in an alley my arm around a little black kitten. Then on top of that one i always have a black cat or kitten follow me when i enter an alley and it's my calling card if i'm in trouble." She ended the story right there with a smiled. "So what topic is next eh?"

Firecracker grinned, relaxing. It no longer seemed as if she was in Brooklyn, mingling with an enemy, but rather in her own territory, joking around with a friend. She wondered if it was like this before the war started. The Manhattan newsie had come to the territory shortly after the war had began, so she wouldn't know.
"Jesh, so demandin'," Firecracker stated, pretending to be flustered while truely not minding. "Hmm...Favorite food? You'se can guess what mine is." Obviously, an orange.

Fancy sat down beside Firecracker. "Hello ladies..." she said cheerily, sipping her water. She looked up for a moment. "Oh.. gosh sorry, did i interupt something? Cause i'll just..." she motioned to the door. "Yah sorry..." she gave then an embarassed smile and looked down at her water. "I'm Fancy.. by the way..." she said quickly.

"We'se didn't have an important enough conversation for you ta interupt, so don't worry 'bout it," Firecracker said with a laid back attitude, a grin upon her face. Fancy sounded just as nervous as she felt when she had entered the Pub. Obviously, the newest newsie wasn't from Brooklyn. You could just tell. She was guessing the Bronx, since most of the Queens and Manhattan newsies were too intelligent to wander into Brooklyn at night. Not that the Bronx natives weren't intelligent, but they were neautral, and truely couldn't have gotten soaked for wandering into the tough borough.
"Firecracker," she introduced herself, holding out a hand to shake without spitting into it. Newsie costum or not, she didn't need any extra germs. "Nice ta meet'cha."

Alley went a little on alert again at a new face. She moved a little away kinda startled and being paranoid by nature. "Alley Cat. Nice to meet ya" She didn't move any close and she seemed a little off. She wasn't too sure of the new newsie that was all. She looked around her nervously.

Fancy grinned at Firecracker. "Like wise..." she caught the look on her face and added. "I'm from the Bronx..." She turned her attention to the other and raised an eyebrow, why did the name soiund so familiar- of course! "Alley Cat hm...? I've heard about you!" she smiled. "My little sisters friend!" she was of course referring to Dusty, who wasn't realy her sister but close enough. Fancy caught the anxious look in Alley's eyes and stopped herself. "Oh, Dusty told me about you..." she gave her a half smile and sighed. "So..." she turned to the both of them. "What were you discussing then?"

'Score one for Firecracker!' she thought with a grin, having guessed Fancy was from the Bronx and having been correct. Alright, those sugar cinnamon rolls she had eaten at lunch had done wonders to her sanity. Defiantly needed to stop getting them.
"Hmm...We were discussin' colors, animals, nicknames, and food," Firecracker informed her, ticking off the subjects of conversation on her fingers as she named them.

Fancy laughed. "Colors, animals, nicknames and food..." she repeated, making sure she had it right. "Wow... Those are very.. random topics!" she teased with a small giggle. "so... pink, horses, i have no idea and noodles!" she smiled, being random right along with them.

Alley Cat lighten up at the mention of Dusty or reference too was more like it. "Alright in answer to your food topic. Corn" She smiled coming back to the spot she was at before Fancy had gotten there. She was still looking her over but a little more comfortable now all she had to worry about was another Brooklynite finding them all having this random discussion. She turned to fancy. "Since you just joined it's your turn to throw out a random question." She giggled slightly

"Corn?" Firecracker wrinkled her nose. Obviously, she wasn't a big fan of the vegetable. Grinning, she joked, "I'se always thought Brooklynites were crazy."
She no longer was tense and unsure. These newsies were no different than the Manhattan ones. With the tension of war in the air, it was hard to remember Brooklynites were no different than Manhattaners. They were all just kids, kids struggling to make a living. No more and no less.

"Random question... okay.. most embarrassing moment..." she grinned evily, this was a hard one for her, there were so many! "Haha... you see, embarassing moments are pretty much every second memory of mine!" she laughed, poking fun at her own clutsiness.

Alley busted up laughing at Firecracker's comment. "Yes we are i'll grant ya that one." She though about Fancy's question not ever really remember an embarrising moment. "I've never really had and embarrising moment. Well unless you count coming in the middle of a conversation saying the totally wrong thing." She shurged her eyes sparkling.

She raised her eye brows with a giggle. 'Never really had an embarrasing moment' she grinned, completly jealous...

"I'se don't have embarrassing moments, I create dem," Firecracker stated in a slightly cocky manner, trademark impish grin sliding onto her features. "If you'se ever want a funny story, ask me."
Prank-pulling and trouble-making, she'd had her fair share of amusement by the humiliation of others. A poor Manhattan newsboy by the name of Pie Eater especially suffered. She grinned at the thought of how many times she'd managed to embarrass her friend. Their arguments and tricks had become infamous among the newsies in Manhattan.

Fancy gave a dramatic sigh and fell back against the couch. "Well i'm a walking disaster! and with you two around!" she slapped a hand over her heart. "I don't stand a chance!" she cried over dramatically.
