Alley began to stir and slowly opened her eyes and looked at Ramble. "you are mad aren't you." The tears coming to her eyes she hated the pain. "i'm sorry."

He shook his head, kissing her hand. "No... I'm not mad.." he looked down at her sadly. He looked at Footloose for a moment before sitting Alley up. "Listen... Your gunna be fine..."

Alley hugged him noting Footloose's nervousness. "he don't bite." She buried her head in his chest and shook. Taking in deep breaths trying to calm her nerves so she wouldn't faint again.

He held her close, resting his chin on the top of her head. He looked at Footloose and gave her a 'don't be afraid of me i'm harmless' look.

Alley moaned a bit and ended up falling asleep. The pain to much. Her hands held her stomach.

He picked her up. "You know some place safe?" he asked Footloose.

Footloose snapped out of her dreamlike state and forced a weak, tiny smile, "Uh...yeah. She can stay at me aunt and uncle's house. I'se sure Bri will love 'er." She tried to smile again but it was loopsided so she dropped it and stood up slowly, keeping her eyes on the ground.

Alley stired in Rambles arms but she didn't wake up. She fell still again for the moment before shivering. Silent tears fell down her cheeks.

[New Day]
David walked through Central Park, a rather large grin on his face. His pockets were heavy with coins, and he could not wipe the smile off his face. In his pocket, his hands felt a dollar bill, and he couldn't help but smile. A rich person, distracted by a lovely woman, had shoved it into his hands without a second thought. He couldn't help but smile as he thought of the look on Les' face when he showed it to him.
Happily, he sat down under a large tree, enjoying the shade. The Manhattan newsboy closed his eyes, leaning against the trunk, lacing his fingers behind his head. It was a hot day, and it had been a miracle he'd gotten done selling all his papers with the extreme weather and lack of interesting headlines. Still, nothing could ruin his mood.

Jack saw David. The kid seemed bissfully content.
Too bad...that wasn't going to last.
Spitting at David's feet, he growled. "...you can either get soaked or get out of my burrough, Davey. What will it be?" His voice was dangerously quiet, his eyes deadly.

...Okay, he hadn't been thinking of this when he'd thought nothing could ruin his good mood. David snapped his light blue eyes open, looking up at his leader and best friend in surprise, almost shock. He'd thought they'd resolved the issue with Ace...So...what was Jack so upset about?
"W-what?" he asked, too startled to even try to comprehend what was going on.

Jack stared down at David, smoldering. "...You know...the whole deal with Ace could have been overlooked--and I was overlookin' it. But here I find out that you went into Brooklyn and got caught...and did't tell me?"
He sneared. "...you are my best friend. Wait. Were. I can't have my kids just flouncing my rules and orders--which you seem to love ta do." He pointed in the direction of Brooklyn. "..I want you over the bridge."

Les saw Jack and David talking in the distance. He msiled and ran up to them, but when the conversation was in ear shot, he realized it wasn't the best place to be at that moment...

Realization dawned on David. He'd almost forgotten the incident in Brooklyn. No, he /had/ forgotten the incident in Brooklyn. Oh, no. Jack had found out. That was obvious. Jack had found out, and it was not from David the information had come from. This was not good.
Slowly, he rose to his feet. He glanced toward the Brooklyn Bridge, and cringed, both inside and out. Of all the boroughs...Brooklyn. The word itself could make him shudder. But he wasn't going against Jack on this. Not this time. It would only make things worse. He had a feeling he'd end up soaked and in Brooklyn if he even tried to speak one word.
As his brother arrived, he glanced at Jack, questioningly. What about his family. With a sigh, he stared down at his feet, shoulders sagged in defeat.
"Fine, I'll go." it was so quiet, it was almost inaudible. He refused to meet either gaze, turning his eyes back to Brooklyn.

Les slowly eased his way up to the boys. "Whats....whats wrong David?" Les was nervous to ask whats wrong, but his what his older brother, he had to know what was wrong.
