In the middle of a bustling street is the noisy boxing ring. One of Jack Kelly's favorite places to sell.

After walking for a good hour Smalls finally came upon her destination. She had bought her papers in the morning and sold them on her way to Manhattan, not wanting to waste time. For whatever reason, this place always had the best fights, and having not seen one in a while Smalls figured she'd pay 'hattan a visit.
Hopping up on a stack of crates she took a seat, watching a fight that had already begun. Her eyes eventually began scanning a few of the future competitors along the edge of the ring, knowing herself well enough to prepare for a bet she would inevitably take part in.

Rick had been at the ring all day long. "AHH man! what you do that for?!" He screamed at the boxers. "Aurgggg!" Rick threw his arms in the air accidentally knocking the girl down. "Oh, sorry" he said and then turned his attention back to the match.

Smalls pulled out a cigarette and lit it, taking a long drag on it before looking back at him and speaking evenly. "Ya gonna be if it 'appens again."

She casually glanced down at the cigarette then back up at his face, cocking her head slightly. "Cute." Without the slightest hesitation she smacked the cigarette to the ground and sent her fist colliding with the stranger's face.

"That depends, you done bein' a smartass?" Smalls smirked as she followed his gaze to the officers. Going to jail in Brooklyn was one thing, but the Manhattan refuge for kids is cozy in comparison.

"Oh, ummmmm," Rick stumbled as he continued to watch the police officers, he hadn't heard her "Right, sure yeah" he said.

Clarence had made his way through the throng of people. The cops hadn't been here to act as crowd control, they had all come to see the fight. He had a bit of money riding on this one, and when two kids started fighting and arguing near him, they distracted him from the fight.
He made his way over, but didn't say anything when the girl decked the boy in the face. Clarence actually found it amusing. He also noticed that the boy was looking around an awful lot, aware of the cops. Might as well give them a scare , he thought. At least the boy. Clarence casually stood as he looked at them. "Whats the problem?" He didn't actually care, he just didn't want their ...whatever it was, to escalate and make him actually have to work.

Smalls' smirk grew at his vague response-- this guy obviously didn't like the bulls. As the officer approached she crossed her arms, nodding in the strangers direction. "This guy heah was tryin' ta pick my pockets." She was never above lying, and she was damn good at it.

"I was not!" Rick said, letting his toughness go. "I didn't do nothin to her, I swear officer nothin!" Rick shot smalls a glance for Mercie, he had been hauled in to many times already and was prepared to do anything in his power to keep from getting it again.

"Pick pocketing, eh?" Clarence asked, addressing the guy and ignoring what he was saying. "That's a mighty serious crime. And you look to old to be taken to the refuge. Only jail will take you." He thought on it for a moment, and realized he didn't want to fill out the paperwork. If a real crime was committed and it wasn't just two kids fooling around, he was obligated to do something. Stupid kids.
