"Not many really survive in brooks and end up in Queens or 'hattan. I don't really pay much attention, cept one of the new girls Mercy and probably that girl that just left, we'll have to keep an eye on them or they might be the next ones to turn up missin.." sighing Lucks sat up and ran her hands threw her hair one more time. "Land sakes... alright, lets go and get to work.."

Fighter sighed and nodded before slipping the cap back on the flask and tucking it back under her bad. Standing Fighter turned and glanced at Lucky, "I'm going to see an old friend today. I'm not sure but he may have heard some things about the kidnapping." It was the only thing she could think to do at this point and it was the one thing she dreaded doing with every fiber of her being. But so be it, her friends were in danger and he ran with some of the gangs that controlled parts of New York. The time had come for her to get over her fear of the bastard and face him, she was going to pay Scar a visit.

Lucky nodded, "Just be safe, alright?" her brow lifted at her friend and she sighed. She didn't know what to expect but she had to spread the word about the patrols.

Fighter nodded slightly, "I will be, Lucks don't worry about me." She planned on seeing him in public since she knew where he worked. He wouldn't dare hurt her there for several reasons, but mainly he was smart enough to know that if he wanted to hurt her there better not be any one around to witness it. Fighter walked to the washroom to clean herself up a bit and mentally prepare for her confrontation with Scar.

- New Day -
Smalls lazily collapsed onto her bunk, glancing up at the open window and scowling at the lack of breeze. It was damn hot. Heaving a slightly agitated sigh she tucked her hands behind her head and attempted to make up for the sleep she rarely got at night.
The kidnapping situation was finally getting somewhere with the return of the skittish Manhattan girl, but at the moment it was a waiting game. As Spot met with the other leaders and discussed strategy most of Brooklyn was itching to get their hands dirty, and Smalls was no different. But for now, with her best friend lurking after her boy in the Bronx, Smalls was left to idly await the next step, and hopefully, get some sleep.

Zeke had come back to the lodging house for a couple reasons. The first being he didn't have anything better to do. But he walked into the girls bunk room and tapped on Small's forehead as she was sleeping.
"Yo, Smalls. We're gonna get headin to that factory place soon.."

((New Day))
It hadn't taken Gwennie too long to recover from the injuries that she got in the workhouse but , to the eight year old, the week or so that had passed before she was allowed to get back to her normal routine of selling had seemed like forever. She had never thought that sleeping could get so boring so quickly. In fact, now that she was selling again, despite how tired she was at the end of the day, she just couldn't seem to sit still long enough to actually fall asleep.
Being the youngest person in the lodging house, she was usually the first one in bed which meant that she was also pretty much alone in the bunkroom for at least a couple hours so her restlessness had gone unnoticed by the older kids for the most part. She hadn't really been trying too hard to hide it from them. In fact, she had been using the extra time to practice her handstand. She had practiced so much in the past few days that she could even walk on her hands over to the next bed before she fell down but she still had to use her bed to get herself started so she still had a lot of practicing to go. She figured that it must've been pretty loud downstairs when she fell but nobody had come up to complain yet so she didn't see any reason to stop when she still had so much work to do.
After all, she wasn't just learning to do a handstand for no reason. Ever since the workhouse, Milo had been talking to he about how they should both have a plan for something to do when they grew up other than working in a factory. At first she had thought that she didn't really have to worry about that because she was a girl so she would just be a mama when she grew up but then she remembered that Rhoda's mama had to work even though she was a mama and so had her mama before she died. So, she had decided that she would learn to do handstands and stuff like that so she could be an acrobat when she grew up. She had seen them at the circus the year before and it looked really neat being an acrobat and then she could marry an acrobat and their kids could be acrobats too if they didn't want to go to school.
Even more determined to master the handstand now, Gwennie climbed up onto her bed and, laying down on her stomach, she placed her hands firmly on the floor and pushed off of the top bunk with her bare feet and hobbled along into the aisle between the beds before toppling to the floor again with a loud thump. She got up to do it again but just as she was climbing up onto her bed, she heard the door to the bunkroom door creak open and her head whipped around to see who it was.
