She laughed, shaking her head curls bouncing around her shoulders as she adjusted the heavy coat she was wearing, it slung down to her calves and seemed to swallow her slender frame. She was a slender sort but she had a lot of strength in those muscles of hers. Grinning when he agreed, she couldn't help it. Mush had been down on himself at various points in the span they'd known each other and it always drove her crazy. "You'll get to sell your papers, Mush. After all people in Harlem can read, maybe we'll even run into Dave or something. He lives there."
Beaming when he blushed, Shiloh continued on. Truthfully she was wondering if she'd had enough money to eat. She did have a healthy appetite and she was addicted to sweet buns but she didn't want to go all the way to Stan's to get some. Manhattan needed a good quality bakery that didn't cost an arm and a leg. Her stomach growled and she rubbed it, grinning still when he complimented her. "If they look at me to long we can always tell them I'm engaged to some wealthy bloke up town and your my escort around the city.." Oh she liked playing games like that, pulling the wool over peoples eyes when she could get away with it. It's why she'd been such good friends with the old Brooklyn leader once upon a time.
"Good sir," she said with a wink as she bowed to him and took his arm, linking them as they walked. "Tell me how it's been? I haven't seen you in awhile, hiding your handsome self from the masses..."

As long as he got rid of his papers, Mush didn't rightly care what he did. He was actually happier with someone else than on his own. Mush had never been a loaner, and had a much more enjoyable time when he was out skipping all over New York with Shiloh, or one of the other lovely Manhattan girls who were always so happy and bubbling. He liked those kinds of people, so he fit in well with them.
He couldn't help but laugh out loud as she suggested her plot for people staring at her. She was funny, always had been, and always been entertaining to be around. "Yeah, that'll go well," he said rolling his eyes. Mush could fight, and he could win, but he'd really rather not. There were a lot of people in the world tougher than him. He was okay with that, but didn't mean he wasn't going to defend a girl tooth and nail if he felt he had to.
As she linked arms with him and they walked down the street he steered her towards a flower cart where he purchased a small daisy and put it in her hair. hardly cost more than a penny. "There, now you look high society," he said smiling to her. "As for me?" he shrugged. "Just been sellin' and managing myself," he said with a shrug. "Iunno," he said. "And why haven't I seen you?" he asked as he booped the tip of her nose.

Smirking she conintued on, pausing when he stopped to place the daisy in her hear. It was a touching gesture but it was no shock to her at all. That was juts how Mush was, the simple romantic and she adored him for it. It even drew a blush to her cheeks as she was rarely ever effected by something like that. But then again, she was touched by it and she grinned. He may have been younger than she was but he was sweet as could be.
Lifting up on her toes she kissed his cheek and smiled, he was so much like a younger brother to her she couldn't help it as they turned to continue on his question making her smile a bit, though it didn't reach her eyes. "Camilla was sick so I went home for a bit to help Mama take care of her. Papa's still complain his leg his fine but he's walking with a limp and feels useless at home so I was trying to defuse things while Patrick was away doing something.." The way she said doing something meant she really had no idea what her elder brother was up to these days. But he did take care of the family.
She smiled though, shaking her head at the way they were together. It made her laugh, "You keep that up, Mush, people are going to think you really are courting me.." It wasn't true, they were to close in a sibling like fashion for that but she did love him all the same. "But I'm back in the lodging house now, I saw Skittery being-- himself and Hawkeye is back.."

"Family is always important," he agreed. "Though we missed ya, and it's good to have you back," he said squeezing her arm in his. "Glad to hear everyone is okay though," he added sincerely.
"And let people think what they will," he interjected. "So what if we're a cute and adorable couple?" he asked looking down at her. "So what if it appears to be something it's not... doesn't mean that guys still won't look at your pretty face," he said with a wink.
"So," he said as he looked around. "What kinds of errands do we have to run in Harlem for your dad?" he asked. "Are we getting tools and stuff? Like screw drivers and... screws and stuff? Or like... food kinds of grocery things?" he said. He was just being a little silly. After all, if he was going to be running around harlem with her, he would like to know to what ends this means was taking him. though it wasn't all that important, maybe he could help.
