Finn slid into a chair on the balcony to watch the show. He'd heard from Killian that the main event was one that shouldn't be missed here. Crossing his arms he looked over his shoulder for his brother who he'd come with. "What are ye waiting for? Trying to find a barmaid to hit on?"
Finn smirked slightly and leaned forward to look around at the crowd. He wondered if it would be difficult to purchase Caprice Hall. It looked like a profitable business but he'd heard that it was owned by a woman. And while he had nothing against that he figured at the least he may be able to buy 50% of the place with some careful planning.

"Plenty of pickings, why not?" Luke shrugged at his brother as he settled into the seat beside him. Word around the gang was this was the place to be, from the main act right down to the other girls and Luke was interested to see what they had to offer. If the girls he'd seen walking through the floor were any indication they were in for a good night.
"That's what we are here for, aye?" He asked his brother with an arch of an eyebrow and easy grin. Of the two brothers, Luke was easily the more laid back and fun loving and it showed even in his mannerisms.

Finn laughed at his brothers word and nodded his head, "That's the truth of it." He'd stared at plenty of girls on the way in but they hadn't perked his interest. He was keeping an eye out for the owner. He'd gotten a brief description of what she looked like and he was planning on using all of his efforts to woo her, at least until he got a feel for whether or not she would take him up on his offer.
"That is what we're here for," At least that's what he'd told his brother. He usually kept his business ventures to himself. When a waitress came by to see if they wanted anything he told her to bring a bottle of whiskey and two glasses. Finn glanced at Luke to make sure that's what he wanted but he figured he knew his brother well enough to know that the bottle would suit both of them. He glanced around the crowd, "Looks like a busy place."

Luke could sense that there was something his brother wasn't telling him, but didn't ask. He'd learned along time ago that Finn worked best when he was left to his own devices and it was Luke's job to be there to back his brother up if and when he needed it. And Luke would always be there for his brother, blood runs thicker as the saying goes and since they'd lost their parents the Gallagher brothers had lived by it.
"Aye it does. Guess that the boys weren't lyin' when they said this was the place to go," Luke commented, nodding in reply to his brother's unasked and silent question regarding the whiskey. Whiskey would be fine...just fine.

Finn nodded his head and waved the waitress off to get their drinks. He turned his attention back to the crowd and nodded slightly. "No they weren't." He studied the faces and the tables where people were playing cards. "I'm looking forward to the acts."
He leaned back in his seat and rested his hands behind his head before glancing over at his brother. "Anything of interest happen to you since we've been back?" It'd been so long since they'd been in New York he figured Luke would've visited his regular haunts once returning to the city. Finn certainly had and he'd had a wonderful night with a woman who still claimed to love him. A self satisfied smirk crossed his lips at the memories of that night. Women to him were entirely to easy.

"Just learning my way around again," Luke replied to his brother's question, half smile playing across his features. He'd been young when they were in New York before with few memories or attachments to the streets they had run. So Luke had been spending his time playing cards with suckers he could draw into a game with a charming smile - or trying that charm out on a girl when one looked his way. He had no place for love in his life, near as he could tell it did nothing but cause drama - but that didn't mean he didn't enjoy the company of a warm body and all the many things she had to offer.
"What about you? Hardly seen you around," Luke commented, throwing the question back on his older brother. He knew Finn had his own business to attend to and the Five Points kept them both busy enough and he was far to proud to ever admit it, but Luke had missed his brother as of late.

"Ah, here and there brother..." He trailed off still thinking of that night. He'd been incredibly amused by the fact that someone had held out waiting for him. Of course, he'd enjoyed the perks that had come with that, but he made no promises. He also knew that sometimes he was a bit too charming with women and that they would read into things he said where they shouldn't.
"Had a bit of a spot with Sorcha, but other than that just been getting caught up with old friends." Finn sent a smirk his brothers way and glanced over his shoulder when the waitress came back. "Thanks, lass." As she set the bottle down he patted her behind and slipped her some money and a nice tip.

"Aren't you always in a bit of a spot with Sorcha?" Luke asked with a laugh, reaching for the bottle to pour them both glasses of whiskey. He'd long since given up on trying to keep track of whatever dance was going on between his brother, Sorcha and Killian - it wasn't worth his time. Taking a sip of his drink, Luke turned his attention to the stage that was darkening a bit in preparation for the show.
Sometimes Luke didn't know what to say to his brother, felt like the complicated and complex man was difficult for even him to understand and he hated it. So he lapsed into a bit of silence, sipping his drink and watching the people swirling below.

Finn laughed and downed the glass his brother handed him before pouring another. "That's the truth of it, isn't it?" He knew Sorcha only kept him around to make Killian jealous but he wasn't complaining. The girl was a hell of a kisser and even though he hadn't gotten farther he never felt the need to tell anyone else that, even Luke. "She's sick..."He trailed off, it wasn't the type of sick they normally dealt with. He'd gotten the doctor but hadn't been able to see her since.
Finn followed his brother gaze before it landed on a gorgeous woman near the bar. She fit the description of the owner well enough so he leaned forward studying her. He nudged his brother with his elbow. "What do ye thing of her lad?"

<New Day>
As was Gianna's custom when she managed to slip through the thick crowds into Caprice, she was tucked up along the wall in the balcony, scrunched into a seat waiting for the lights to go dim and the action on stage to begin. Her five foot, two inch frame was easily compacted into the already small seats and Gianna preferred to go unnoticed and so the situation worked out generally favorably. She still remembered being down in the front with Prince, the magic of seeing it all up close, an overwhelming feast for her senses.
But she wasn't near bold enough to attempt such a thing again, the throngs of people were thicker downstairs, with men that leered and eyed the dancers with a hunger that Gianna only marginally understood. But she couldn't stay away from the spectacle of the stage, couldn't not slip into her usual spot and wait to be transported to the world that she so longed to be a part of. Pushing her dark hair over her shoulder, Gianna glanced around making sure that she had gone unnoticed, her dingy dress from the day on the streets and looks would likely have her sticking out if anyone cared enough to notice. Which at the moment, it didn't appear that they did.

Mag saw Gianna from where he was talking to one of the stage hands, he had been around the bend a time or two. Since coming to queens from the Bronx he'd figured Queens needed more muscle in a sense. Not that-- he was actually the kind to fight. No he was a distraction for a con, he'd always been able to keep up with his pickpocket compatriots but there were times that a man just wanted to see a pretty woman sing like a bird. And that's why he came here, Sarah Williams had the voice of an angel but when he saw pretty Gianna he paused, moving down behind her so that he could use his body to give her some freedom.
"Pretty girls should be closer to the stage," he replied in his sing song voice, nodding towards the front row. "That or be on it, now why would a pretty girl hide over int he corner?"

"Oh!" Gianna jumped a little when the voice spoke up from behind her and she glanced up to see a handsome young man that she recognized from her borough, though she could admit that his name had gone fleeing right along with the rest of her words when he had spoken. She had anticipated being noticed, even more so that someone might approach her, but as she looked up into Mag's face she sensed something of a friend - at least a cheerful enough acquaintence. "Oh...no, no I can see fine from right here," She reassured him with a somewhat cheery smile as she glanced back down at the stage.
To be on the stage, a grand dream that she would likely never see to fruition. Not because she didn't have the talent, if there was one thing that Gianna was sure of, it was her voice - the proof was in the sure footed strength and courage that she felt when she was singing. No the problem was in the reality of stepping on that stage, all those faces and eyes looking back at her, full of expectations that she would have to fulfill. It was daunting and to someone as painfully shy as Gianna, terrifying. "I...I like watching from up here," Gianna elaborated, shifting in her seat slightly so that she could look up at his tall frame more fully. "You can see everything so clearly," She made a sweeping motion with her hand encompassing the expanse of the stage. "The whole picture."

When he saw the shyness in her eyes he raised a brow before nodding his head slowly as he leaned forward, giving her view but blocking her from anyone else behind them that might see her. After all not many women favored these places and she seemed to sweet of a girl to have her reputation be questioned. Nodding still he managed a grin when he looked down at her, the warmth in his gaze made him friendly. Truth was Seamus was that and a lot more. "You're a Queens girl, can't leave ya ta fight alone, aye? We've not been properly introduced though-- the names Seamus, but you can call me Mag since it seems ta suit the whole wide. And yours pretty girl?"
He had time, the show hadn't started yet. He didn't know her enough to know her dreams but the m an knew the look of longing on anyones face and she had it in spades. Oh the stage, Mag made his own where he went. The pros of being a street magician with the cons that he never had a legitimate place and no one really took him seriously. But he was good, and most of the time being good was just enough. His hands were on either side of her over the bars, not trying to make her feel trapped. "Few lads get a wee bit handsy, I'll cover yer back for in cases so ya can enjoy the show."

The truth was, she felt somewhat more settled now that he was there - she had curled herself into this very chair many times before, but there was something about a friendly face, a smile filled with warmth that had her relaxing by degrees as it became clear he didn't appear to be leaving. Mag. She had heard some of the others talking about him around the lodging house, had even seen him a time or two when she had been corralling some of the younger kids, but this was the first time she was seeing him up close. "Gianna," She replied, blushing a little as he called her pretty girl, but managing to keep her eyes on his - he had a handsome face. "But you can call me Gia if you like, most others do."
He seemed settled now, his frame much larger than her own and far more at ease in the bustling crowd of the performance hall than she might ever hope to be. His arms were loosely boxing her in, as thought to protect her from the men he mentioned, but not making her feel trapped and she felt herself relax yet a degree more. "Thank you," She breathed out, tilting her head to look up at him and give him another smile, this one perhaps a bit more bold and assured than the one before it. "Have you seen it before? The show, I mean?"
