Killian certainly knew what that felt like. He may enjoy the bustle of the city but he'd felt the restlessness before he'd left the city with the rest of the gang. It hadn't been anything in particular. Just too much going on around him that he couldn't control and he hadn't liked that feeling in the slightest. Although after being away from the city as long as he had it was nice to be back. Though he wasn't sure what he would do if he felt that way again. He wasn't sure he'd want to leave the city a second time. Though he supposed there were plenty of big cities out there that he'd never been to. Boston or Philadelphia, for example, and those were two places he was sure he'd find a niche in. It wasn't hard to find work in his area of expertise.
"Well, at least they know not to cross them." Killian said with a grin. He'd employed a few people over the years who didn't understand that if they crossed a certain line they'd never find they're way back. Then again, he was sure Caprice Hall didn't employ the same tactics he had when his employees hadn't listened to him. Killian took a drag of his cigarette as the bartender once more refilled his glass. He was going to be nice and tipsy by the time Sarah was done for the night. He wasn't going to get full blown drunk though, he supposed he would slow down once she went backstage. The last thing he wanted was to pass out before he could take her back to her rooms later.

"That's half the battle," Sarah acknowledged, taking a long sip of her drink and knowing the minutes before she had to get backstage to change were ticking down. But she wasn't ready to leave just yet, she wanted to carry the buzz of whiskey, cigarettes and Killian's smile with her on stage. The whiskey burned in her gut, a pleasant sort of familiar feeling and she was half tempted to light up another cigarette but knew there wasn't the time to fully enjoy it. So instead she slid off of the stool so that she was standing right beside Killian, could feel the heat of his body through his clothing and already her mind was dancing with the possibilities for later.
"Should probably be getting backstage," She explained, lifting her arm and letting it fall across Killian's shoulder, a casual flirty move that she'd used on countless patrons before, though she allowed her body to drift a bit closer so he might feel the curves of it. "Wait for me?" She said, knowing that there wasn't any need to ask but she enjoyed the dance of the flirtation, the mood that was set as she tilted her head a little so she was speaking directly into his ear. "I'll come find you after," She promised, letting her hand fall, trace the line of his spine and then drop away. Then with a slight movement she pressed her lips against his cheek, a subtle move that could be shoved off as a flirtatious encounter between dancer and patron to anyone watching. But they both knew it held more promise than simply that, it was in her eyes as she pulled away, smiled and then turned to head backstage without another glance in his direction.

When Sarah hopped off the stool and dropped her arm around his shoulders he moved his arm to rest around her waist. He thoroughly enjoyed the feeling of her curves pressed around his. "I'll be waiting," He responded as she pressed a light kiss to his cheek. These were moments that he really liked sharing with Sarah. He knew it always led to an amazing night and tonight would be no different if he had his way. Killian offered her a smile as she moved away towards the backstage area. He could bide his time at the bar with a few drinks.
Killian took another drag from his cigarette before lifting his glass to his lips. He didn't down it in one swallow, but instead sipped it. He wanted to be in full control of his faculties when Sarah was done for the night. Anxiously he waited for her to walk on stage. She was sight to behold when she was up there. It was obvious it was her element and he was hardly surprised since it was something she'd been doing so long. A girl wondered up to him, but he ignored her and she left shortly after. It wasn't too much longer before Sarah was announced and the music began as she walked on stage. He turned in his seat to lean back against the bar so that he had a better view. With his glass in one hand and a cigarette in the other he watched the show.

Sarah made it backstage and changed in record time, the red dress for that night's performance was always a knockout and she felt especially good as she slipped into it, thoughts of Killian's hand on her waist still lingered. It was perhaps foolish, the way she allowed him to invade her thoughts that way, and really Sarah had always considered herself anything but foolish. Though she had to admit it was nice to indulge, and that's what she considered it, an indulgence to enjoy a man like Killian...repeatedly. It was that thought that brought a slow smile to her face that she wore all the way to the wings of the stage, but the moment she stepped underneath the lights her focus was on her performance.
It was a lively crowd that night, no doubt filled with liquor and a desire in their bellies that Sarah was doing everything in her power to embody. She worked the stage just as she always did, flashes of skin where appropriate, the sheen of a professional performance in nearly every step and note because it was her life. She didn't glance back towards the bar, but she felt his eyes just the same, knew he was watching and savored it as she finished her number. Taking a bow, Sarah winked at a few of the men in the front row, stole the hat off one and then scurried backstage and motioned the next act out onto it.
After waiting to ensure the next performance was well underway, Sarah ducked into her dressing room to freshen up, debated changing into the dress she had been wearing early but decided to stay in the daring red number she had on. No reason she couldn't entertain the crowd on the floor a little bit and besides, it would give Killian something to look at. The thought made her mouth curl into a smile and with that decided she stepped back outside and headed towards the bar.

Killian was entranced as he watched Sarah dance and sing. His heart had begun to speed up when she'd come out on stage in her red dress. It flattered her coloring and brought out all of her features. He watched her closely while she was on stage before turning back to the bar when the next girl came out. Killian wasn't interested in anybody else's act. He finished his drink and ordered another before lighting a cigarette. It wouldn't be long now before Sarah joined him at the bar. He was sure she'd make a few stops along the way which is why he kept his attention focused on his drink. He knew he wouldn't have a pleasant reaction to see her flirting with other men.
A few people had made their way to the bar, but not one of them sat by him. Not that he was surprised by that. He exuded an aura that caused people to avoid him as much as possible. When he felt someone approach him, he figured it was Sarah and lifted his head his eyes trailing over her body still garbed in that red dress as she walked towards him. A large smirk graced his face as his eyes finally landed on her face. He was sure she'd worn the dress for a reason and if that reason had something to do with him then it was definitely working.
"I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that you were good up there," He said as he nodded towards the stage. She was more then good, she was captivating and intriguing. It was no wonder she drew the crowds that she did to Caprice. There was a mysterious air that surrounded her when she was on stage. Any man in the audience lucky enough to get her attention would spend a pretty penny trying to keep it.

"I don't," Sarah acknowledged, still glowing from the stage and helped by the way that Killian's eyes had perused her body, the dress having it's desired effect. "But that doesn't mean I don't like to hear it," She added, stepping over and reclaiming the stool she had vacated earlier, but making sure to at least acknowledge the man on the other side. Now came the delicate balancing act, she tended to generate a little more attention after coming off the stage and it wasn't her place to ignore those that might clamor for a bit of her time. And yet she hadn't determined how Killian might react to that aspect of her career, it lay somewhere in the misty waters of undetermined, especially considering the nature of their relationship.
She allowed the man she had smiled at to buy her a drink, exchanged a few words and thanked him with a flirtatious smile before turning her attention back to Killian. "Glad you enjoyed the show," She said, flashing him a smile and turning in the stool so that her leg could slip through the slit on the red dress and press against his. Duties be damned, she intended to enjoy Killian that night and that included - and always had - their flirtations right into the bedroom. It was part of what appealed to her about him, the way they could work around a witty conversation filled with innuendo, all the while knowing what lay on the other side. As such she reached for his cigarette, much like he had done earlier, and allowing her fingers to brush his lips as she pulled it away and placed it in her own mouth. "Think I could bum one of these, cowboy?" She asked with a smile, taking a drag before holding it out for him to take back, her green eyes dancing.

"Well, you were," Killian responded before noticing the man on the other side of Sarah. His body tensed as the man offered to purchase a drink for Sarah and he crushed his still lit cigarette in his fist as it tightened. He dropped the burning cigarette onto the ground, hardly noticing the slight pain in his palm. His eyes narrowed and his lips thinned into a tight line as he watched the exchange. It took everything in his power not to deck the man. Instinctively he knew that if he did he would not be enjoying the rest of his night in Sarahs company. As Sarah replied that he could buy her a drink, Killian lit another cigarette and held it between his lips as he tapped his own glass for a refill.
When Sarah turned her attention towards him after receiving her drink, his body relaxed a bit. His eyes were inevitable drawn to the bit of leg she had exposed when she turned in her stool. As she pulled his freshly lit cigarette from his lips, he smiled. "Got enough to spare one or two." He shook his head slightly when she went to hand it back. "Keep it."
Killian couldn't help but subtlety run his fingers across her exposed leg. "Red is a good color on you." He more then appreciated the dress and not only the color but the cut. He would enjoy pulling it off her later tonight. Killian couldn't help but shift slightly in his seat to try to adjust to a more comfortable position. When the bartender refilled his drink he immediately swallowed it down before motioning for another. He knew he was raking up quite a bill but it'd been a good week at Rac's and he had the money to spend.

Sarah grinned as he told her to keep the cigarette and she did so gladly, taking another drag and letting the smoke settle for a moment before blowing it out. "Thanks cowboy," She said, letting her leg linger against his as she motioned with her head for the bartender to bring her a drink. Her smile grew wicked and a light sparked in her eyes as she felt the glide of Killian's fingers along her bare leg, the gentle pressure that sent snakes of pleasure and promise crawling up her spine. "I'm glad you approve," She said softly, never taking her eyes from him as she took a sip of the whiskey that had just been supplied. She was starting to feel a bit reckless this evening, she couldn't say what it was exactly, but she intended to enjoy it - as such, she downed her glass of whiskey and then motioned for another.
She could feel men watching her, as they often did when she was on the floor, and she knew she couldn't spend her whole night ignoring them while talking to Killian. Though the thought had crossed her mind to do just that, she had a better business sense than that and so with some regret she spun away from him slightly and addressed a few men that had gathered to her left. She laughed with them, allowed another to buy her next drink which was delivered promptly and this one she sipped, chatting for a few more moments before turning back to Killian. "I'll have to remember that you like this one," She said, indicating the dress with the wave of her hand, that she let finally come to rest on his hand, which she subtly guided back to her leg. The movement was hidden by their bodies and the presence of the bar and she looked up at him through her eyelashes, letting her tongue dart our to wet her lips.

"You knew I would," He said with a wicked looking smirk. He lifted his drink to his lips as his eyes once again traveled the length of her body. She knew exactly what she was doing to him and he couldn't help but smirk with that knowledge. Killian grabbed a cigarette when she turned towards the men who had gathered about her. He couldn't help but scowl at each of them and felt immensely pleased when one of them looked slightly alarmed when they saw him. That was the kind of feeling he enjoyed most. The knowledge that he could scare someone with just the wrong look was a good feeling. It meant he didn't have to put as much physical effort into the task. Most of them ignored him though and he began to think of ways to maim each and every one of them. He wasn't sure where the possessiveness had come from, but it was there simmering below the surface.
He abruptly turned back to the bar and rather violently set his glass down on the counter. Killian pulled out several bills and handed them to the bartender. "Leave the bottle," He said gruffly. When Sarah spoke to him again, he turned his head to glance at her and nodded. "It's one of the nicer ones I've seen you in," He said with a smirk. Lowering his voice so that only she would hear he continued. "Rather see it on your floor." When she brought his hand back to her leg, his fingers danced along her skin rubbing her leg gently. A small groan escaped his lips and he quickly set down his glass so he could light another cigarette. He needed a moment to gather his thoughts. "How many drinks do they need to buy before we can get out of here?" Killian questioned, keeping his voice low enough so that the other customers wouldn't overhear.

"I promise I'll let you get a good long look at it there later," Sarah said, pitching her voice as low as his and feeling a shiver slice through her body as his fingers danced along her skin. Oh but the things that Killian could do to her with a simple touch, with those eyes that glared but seared when they wanted, holding promises of what was to come. She knew when men looked in those eyes they saw danger, anger and a bit of madness. Sarah saw so much more, she saw heat and passion and desire that lit the fire of her own. A self satisfied smile crossed her lips as she heard him groan, the vocalization of the desire she knew lurked beneath both their skin and his murmured question another.
"Not to much longer, I promise," Sarah reassured him, letting her hand settle on his thigh and sliding it upwards slowly just as the bartender set down a bottle of whiskey. "Just enough to get me good and drunk and then you can take me up to my room and..." She paused and pulled back slightly so she could meet his eyes, knowing hers danced with possibility. "...take advantage of me." It was a teasing notion, since they both knew he was doing no such thing - he was certainly capable enough if he desired it and she didn't. But that had never been the line of their relationship and she didn't think it ever would be - Sarah gave as good as she got and she knew Killian was aware of that.
She heard her name from another male voice, and she closed her eyes for a moment, feeling an urge to lean into Killian and surrender but knew it wasn't possible. So she turned, leaving her leg securely in place pressed against Killian and his hand brushing her skin while she made nice with those her sought her. Truth was, she didn't want another man's hands on her that night and while she knew sitting here with her flirting with other men couldn't be fun for Killian, she was making it clear as she could where her desires lay.

"I'll hold you to that," Killian replied as he quirked an eyebrow. Taking a pull from his cigarette, he poured himself a drink before taking a long swallow from it. When they finally left to go to Sarahs room, it wouldn't be soon enough for him. All this teasing was driving him even more crazy then it usually would and he wasn't sure he could take much more of it. Especially if those guys kept flirting with her. He was sure he would lose his temper fairly soon and start a brawl with the whole bunch of them. Of course, he was trying to keep his temper under control so that his night wouldn't end prematurely.
Killian's lips twitched into a grin and narrowed his eyes playfully at her. "I hardly have to take advantage of you to get what I want." He had much better ways of getting what he wanted from the female population and especially from Sarah. One thing Killian would never do was force a woman to do something she didn't want to do. Kill and mutilate men over slight infractions? Yes. Hurt a woman or force her into his bed? Definitely not. He wasn't sure when he'd drawn the line there, but it had been early in his career. He'd seen what other men like him did to women and it thoroughly disgusted him. Although he didn't have any qualms about giving a woman a slap or two, but only in severe situations that called for that type of action.
A deep growl forced it's way to the surface when Sarahs attention was once again on the men flocking to the other side of her. They obviously were smart enough to steer clear of standing near him, but not bright enough to realize that his temper was on the verge of breaking. Killian took a drag from his cigarette before putting it out and downing the liquor in his glass before pouring another. His hand tightened around the glass in it and the glass began to crack before he noticed just how tight he was gripping it. He loosened his grip and asked the bartender for another glass when he walked by.

The truth was, Sarah could sense the air between them thickening, with every sip of whiskey and moment that passed when they allowed little touches, Sarah knew they were driving each other to the point of no return. She liked that they were capable of that, with conversation and subtle touches and she knew that with the mood she was in tonight it was bound to be explosive once they got up to her room. But she also knew that she had a job to do, and roles that she had to balance - she sensed Killian's frustration when she had to turn away from him. It was impossible to ignore considering the way he practically glowered, but she vowed to make it worth his while.
And knew it was well within her realm of capabilities to do just that. "No cowboy, you don't," Sarah said softly, turning back from the men to level her green eyes at Killian with fire in them and desire burning low in her gut. "Because I'll give you exactly what we both want..." She reached for her glass and downed the rest of it before using the bottle Killian had ordered to refill it. "Every. single. time."
Instinctively she knew that she was making matters worse, teasing the way she was. But it was part of the game, part of this dance that they had damn near perfected and she knew that reaping the reward would be well worth it. Because it had become clear from their first meeting that she and Killian were of the same mind in regards to quite a few things and she intended to play them out, push his buttons and get the result they both were burning for.

Killian quietly simmered in his seat. He poured the alcohol from his cracked glass into a new one when the bartender brought it over. Repeatedly he told himself that this was just a part of her job, but it didn't seem to make much of a difference in his mind. Vivid images kept flashing through his mind of him ripping each one of those men to pieces and feeding them to pigs. It certainly wasn't helping that they were practically undressing her with their eyes. At least they kept their hands to themselves because he was sure that would be a button that would be pushed that would cause him to lose his temper. He would gladly cut off the hand of whoever tried to touch her and then feed it to the man while the others watched.
Killian smirked when Sarah turned back and replied to him. He nodded his head, "I know. I'm certainly looking forward to us both getting what we want." And those men being left wanting and alone. He smirked a bit at the thought and his eyes hardened as his gaze darted back to the men still lingering around Sarah. Killian tossed back the drink in front of him and refilled the glass once Sarah was done with the bottle.
"I think by the time we finish this, we should head to your rooms." Because with that much alcohol in Killian's system he will have very little control over himself. At that point all bets would most likely be off when it came to Sarahs flock of admirers. Besides he had a much better idea for what to do tonight and it didn't involve broken knuckles and body parts. It could, though, if this continued much longer.

"I think," Sarah said, slamming down the contents of her glass in two quick gulps earning her a few catcalls from the men that still were gathered round. Gamely she flashed them a smile and then reached for the bottle, pouring herself another glass and noting that the bottle was getting low. "...that sounds like an excellent idea," She finished, taking another swallow of the whiskey and enjoying the way it burned down her throat. She was beginning to feel the affects of the alcohol, the slight fuzziness in her head that told her that it was doing the trick and Killian's words promised that the drink was doing the same for him.
It would be a good night, Sarah was sure of it and the truth was she didn't want to wait any longer. She'd paid her dues, flirted with the men that had gathered and now it was time to attend to her own needs. Turning away from Killian, Sarah slid off the stool, giving everyone gathered a nice shot of leg before she smiled at them all. "Sorry boys, I'm off duty for the evenin', I'm sure you'll understand if I retire to my rooms," She said in a cheery sort of voice, blowing a kiss to one of her regulars before bowing slightly, waving off their protests.
Then she turned towards Killian, pressing close just as she had before as she leaned over and grabbed her glass. "Finish up what's left," She said, her voice sing songy now with anticipation and pleasure, her cheeks flushed and her eyes dancing with promise. "Then come on up to my room, I'm sure you remember the way..." Leaning closer she let her breath dance against his ear as she whispered one last thought to him. "Don't take too long, I'd really hate to have to take off this dress all by myself." And with that said she turned and left, a few parting words for the men who lingered, before heading towards backstage and the stairs that led up to her apartment.

Killians' eyes narrowed at the catcalls, but a small smile crossed his lips when he realized how low the bottle was. It would only be a matter of time before they would be in her rooms. He was extremely happy when Sarah stood and told the other men that she would be retiring for the night. One thing he was certain of was that he wouldn't have lasted much longer sitting out here with those men flirting with Sarah and trying to buy her drinks.
As Sarah leaned into him and told him to follow once the bottle was finished he had to resist the urge to drape his arms around her waist and crush her to him. But he realized he was close to getting what he wanted and he had enough control over his body to keep the urge to himself. "Trust me, I won't." Killian responded before finishing the alcohol left in his glass before pouring the rest of the liquor from the bottle into his glass.
He watched Sarah leave the main room to make her way back towards her private rooms and couldn't help but shoot the remaining men a gloating look. They obviously knew what he meant and he received a few scowls because of it, but none of them dared to voice any of their thoughts. He quickly finished his drink and stood, not bothering to even glance in the direction of Sarahs fans. Immediately he followed the same path Sarah had taken and made sure to avoid any contact with any of the other girls. In a few moments he would be doing what he'd wanted to be doing all night and his body was thrumming with the thought.
