DREAMER
NAME: Sarah Emerald Samuels
NICKNAME: Dreamer
AGE: 17
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: Houston, TexasHISTORY
Sarah Emerald Samuels was born to Jon and Daisy Samuels on December 17, 1883 in Houston, Texas. In a small county where you were either of high class, or just a farmer on the outskirts of town, the Samuels Family happened to be in the middle of the social ranks of their peers. They owned one of the most well-respected stables in the state, where they would hold lessons for anyone who wanted to ride, and take in stray mustangs that would wander into their land.
Some of Sarah's favorite past-times growing up were riding the horses her family housed in the stables, singing with her mother as they made dinner in the kitchen, playing games with the stable hands she worked with, and hearing stories from her father.
As Sarah grew, her father had taken to calling her his "Little Dreamer" because she would always have this dreamy look in her eyes every time her mind would wander from chores and the rest of the world.
I guess you could say that Sarah's childhood was a happy one. But then she turned into a young woman.
At the age of 16, Sarah met a boy her age of high class during one of the riding lessons named Christopher Michael Blade, who had secretly loved her from afar. Both he and Sarah had a mutual friend--A girl named Julie-Anne Mae Fort, who was also of the same social standing as Christopher. Even though they both started out as best friends when they were children, both Julie-Anne and Sarah kind of drifted away as they grew up, mainly because Julie-Anne simply didn't want to be known as the stable-girl's friend. But when Christopher poured his heart out to Sarah, she was angry with her, and that anger grew long after Christopher proposed to Sarah, and Sarah declined.
In an act of rage, Julie-Anne had set fire to the land owned by the Samuels Family late one night, in an effort to murder the stable-girl. However, at the time, Sarah had been out wrangling a horse who had gotten out of its stall. By the time the young Texan returned home, the house and the stable had roaring flames all around. She was able to get all the horses out safely, but her mother and father had died in their sleep from the burning of the flames. Before she could confront Julie-Anne, she realized what the reason for the inferno was and knew she had to leave. So she gave herself the name "Dreamer" and left Texas.
When Dreamer was halfway to New York City, someone from her hometown had found her, a lawyer, who needed her to testify in court against Julie-Anne in the murder trial. Although Dreamer didn't want to go back, she also didn't want justice to be served. She went back to Houston, testified, and Julie-Anne was sent to jail. After that, a weight seemed to be lifted off of Dreamer's shoulders and she felt like her old self again.
