So...my friend and I have successfully reached a higher level of loserosity. We've create a Harry Potter roleplay website.
It's set in AU, right after book 5, so there shouldn't be any spoilers for DH. (But if you haven't finished it, you shouldn't be snooping around HP sites anyway, man! )

But yes. We're up and and running, so check us out if you get a chance. :]

FINITE INCANTATEM - A Harry Potter RPG

This is a forum-based (proBoard) Harry Potter roleplay game taking place after Harry's fifth year at Hogwarts. To allow for certain freedoms, the roleplay is technically Alternate Universe. It is (more or less) canon-compliant up to the sixth book, however.

But WHY? Honestly, to make things more interesting. What fun is there in reenacting what has already happened in the series? It also leaves more wiggle room for characters (for instance, should any previously deceased characters be sought after, we may allow them to exist within this universe).

There will also be wiggle room as far as deaths occurring prior to the sixth book (this does not mean that Lily and James Potter can be alive and well-- that alters things a tad much).

Will there be a plot? We will undoubtedly be coming up with sub-plots that users can choose to take part in. Whether these will be EPIC sub-plots has yet to be determined. We are always open to suggestions and hope to get many capable role-players to contribute to the plot.

While there is no age limit on our roleplay, there is a PG-13 rating. Members should be willing and able to write thoughtful posts while remaining as true to the canon character as possible.

MANY CANON POSITIONS ARE STILL OPEN AND WE ARE VERY EAGER TO FILL THEM!
In particular, we're looking for... Weasleys, Draco Malfoy, Order Members, Neville Longbottom, Luna Lovegood and Death Eaters.

The only characters that are not up for grabs are... Severus Snape, Harry Potter, Ginny Weasley, Rita Skeeter.
