Before I even start posting, I just want to let everyone here know that, while the character I play is a Catholic priest, I'm actually Wiccan. Which I don't expect will matter a whole heck of a lot, except that I'm sort of playing this by ear, with a few Catholic friends on speed-dial in case I need help.
So if anyone here is Catholic (or Catholic-conscious) and catches me having the Father do something that's decidedly OOC for a priest, or screwing up the specific Catholic rituals (should they ever come up) drop me a PM and straighten me out, eh? Mistakes will always be out of ignorance, never out of insult. This character is a throwback to the character of Father Mulcahy on M*A*S*H, who was a defining force on my life.
(Yeah, yeah, I know. I take the term "true to character" WAY too seriously. I'm also a writer in my real life, and character development is important to me.
