"Damn ya and your protective soul Drifter, but I promise to book it, only if you come with me. I lost important people in my life once, but I won't loose ya."
Drifter looked at her for a moment and then ahead of them before giving her hand a squeeze. He had planned on staying for as long as he could, he wanted to make sure that everyone was going to get out okay. And much like Piper he wasn't one to back out on a fight. But if anything put her in danger he would rather her be far away even if he had to give up his life to get her out.
"Alright," He said with a nod as he looked back over at her. "If it gets to dangerous, we'll get out together."

Piper nodded her head and gave him a short kiss on his lips, showing him she understood and would leave with him if it got rough. They were a tough couple, not backing down from anything and they both had the scars to prove it. Piper looked in front of her and saw the newsie gang walking and she was glad they were here together.
"We need to get those kids outta there, Drifter. Those kids are goin' out of their minds." PIper said in a shudder, hoping the kids were alright.

"Don't worry we will." Drifter said as he pulled her closer to him. He gave a small smile when she kissed him and pushed some of her hair away from her face. It seemed strange to be happy when they were heading into a fight, everyone else was on edge. But he shook it off blaming on adrenaline, giving her hand a squeeze he nodded his head towards the left.
"We need to find a way in." He said as he carefully pulled her along, the sooner they got all the kids out and safe the better.

Piper nodded in agreement as she looked around the area to see if she could climb or sneak in. She had a good thought, climbing up onto the roof and getting in from the top. There might be a open window for her to climb through, then she could sneak kids out that way.
"We'll find a window, sneak in all quite then snatch as many younglings we can, then bust out of there like a bat out of hell." Piper said to Drifter, hoping it was a good idea. But she then thought of one downfall, she had no weapon. She only had her lighter, and maybe she could fight with skin.

Drifter listened to her plan and nodded his head a bit. It sounded like a good idea, but they had to be extremely careful. There was no telling how many guards where running around in there, and they had guns. "It's a good idea." He said looking over at her. He noticed a unsure look on her face that's when he realized they didn't have weapons. Drifter let go of her hand for a moment and dug it into his pocket before he pulled out a pocket knife and handed it to her. "Take this and use it if ya have ta."
"Come on," He said taking her hand again and made his way towards the factory, trying to find a broken window or one that could be broken easily.

PIper felt the knife land in her hand as Drifter handed it to her. She was never one for knives, since it was a knife that gave her the scar on her cheek and neck. But if she had to, she would need to use the knife today to risk her own neck and Drifter's neck as well.
Piper looked around her to see if she could find a good place to crawl through. She wasn't a small as other newsie girls, but she knew how to get through tough places with ease. She gripped Drifter's hand as she looked around, hoping he would find a place too. She then found something her propped up against a wall, almost as if someone was going to hide it tried to. She looked closer and saw it was a baseball bat. All wooden and rather large and she smiled, grabbing it firmly and feeling how heavy it was. But she was going to use this as a weapon, other than the knife Drifter gave her. She showed Drifter in a smirk on her face.
