Prince had found a broken window on the main floor. Truth be told... it wasn't broken... until she made it that way. But did she care? Not really. She was diving around, looking for the bunk room, looking for kids, specifically looking for her Jem. Her little boy that she'd lost, and desperately wanted back right now! But she was keeping an oddly clear head for her in this situation.
She was focused on who were newsies and who were bad guys. Prince wasn't sure she had the heart to kill, but she did have the heart to hurt. She quickly found a weapon... well okay, it was a piece of glass from the window she broke, but it was sharp... sure as hell cut her when she landed on it! Great, a cut in her arm, and only 5 minutes (or less) in the building. This was going great.
So she took the piece of glass and found the dull edge that wouldn't cut her much. Looking around before diving into the fray and madness that had become this jailhouse of a warehouse she started to slide through the crowed. She thought she was going to be fine until some guy came up behind her and grabbed her around the neck. And that was all it took for her to flip the glass and plunge it into this abdomen, causing him to sink to the floor. "...damnit I think he's dead," she said staring wide eyed at the body. Great... guess she did have the heart to kill. If he wasn't dead, he might be before long, he was bleeding bad. She pulled out her piece of glass and decided to keep it! She then started creeping through the building again, searching for the innocent, prepared to strike down the enemy.

Dez followed Prince carefully, his eyes wide and hands trembling as he gripped the crowbar in his hands. Before he'd had a chance to react to the man that jumped the Queens leader she'd already taken care of it, and the sight of the blood set a knot in Dez's stomach. He continued following her, however, attempting to erase the image from his mind, and became far more bothered at his slow reaction time. She could have been killed, and useless silly Dez did nothing to stop it.
As they slid into another room a man jumped, startled. Bent in the corner with a large sack overflowing with money he looked for a moment like a kid caught in a cookie jar, that is before he pulled out his gun and immediately fired, the weapon aimed directly at Prince.
For once, Dez was aware of what was happening, and was one step ahead of everyone. In the moments before the greedy guard pulled the trigger the Cuban boy jumped forward, sending Prince crashing into the wall. It took him a couple seconds, experiencing a quick feeling of triumph at seeing Prince was okay, before he felt the hot blood seeping from his shoulder and quickly saturating his clothes. He glanced down at his wound before looked back at Prince, his expression a heartbreaking combination of confusion and despair as he slowly sank to the floor.

Prince was a bit un aware of the gun in the man's hand until she heard the shot, and all of a sudden was thrust against the wall all at once! Her instant thought was 'great, i've been shot! What now?' But then she looked at Dez and realized that she was fine... but he wasn't.
Prince glared at the man with the gun and before he could get another shot out she tackled him in a blind rage and stabbed the sharp glass at his throat, killing him instantly. She gasped at herself as she pulled the glass back. What had just happened? What was happening? Dez!
She dropped the glass next to the bag of money and ran back over to him. "Dez!" she said shaking him. "Hey Dez, c'mon, look at me." She knew he wasn't dead, she just did. She thought she could feel his heart still beating even. It was only a shot to the shoulder right? Then why was he losing so much blood and really fast? "HEY!" Prince screamed for help. "SOMEBODY! LITTLE HELP HERE!" They needed to get him out of there quick and bandage him up, and fast. But in the mean time, she would just keep trying to talk to him. "C'mon Dez," she said hoping he'd say or do something.
When no one came to her aid she cursed under her breath. She had to get Dez out of here, no matter what. She wasn't weak (though she wasn't the strongest woman in the world either) but she hoisted him up best she could, and then walked him towards the window again. It took a lot of effort, but eventually got him out of the window, and herself as well. "C'mon Dez!" she yelled at him, looking for a little help, a little acknowledgment, something telling her that he was gonna be, or was okay. Anything! She didn't like not getting a response. She laid him on the cool wet grass outside of the work house and tried to wake him up again. She hoped someone would see her, she hoped someone would come and help them!
How could no one see, how could you miss this? His eyes wouldn't open and didn't open. She stared down at him in dismay... her mind reeled through other things. He fainted, was in shock, he fell asleep, but she knew... it was none of these things. She knew he was gone, and she was heart broken as tears started to stream down her cheeks.
