History: Skittery knows a lot of things, like how to get out of working or finding a place to sleep when the lodging house is to damn loud. And he knows where he was when his parents died. Though die, is a strong word-- more like when he disowned them. Truth be told his father is a minister preaching the gods word somewhere in Jersey and his mother is his devout wife. Why would Skittery leave all of that you ask? Simple.
He didn't agree with them. Ever since he was a little boy Eric had always been contrary. He had his own thoughts on about everything and he fancied himself a realist. Things weren't going to get any better just because you were always praying about it. He couldn't stand people that couldn't help themselves and was always preaching. Skitts even at twelve didn't do well when people preached at him.
Thinking that he would probably be better off on his own he struck out and left his "crazy" parents behind. Taking off on his own and not doing a damn thing about what anyone else said.
And for the most part it is; aside form the work, the being hungry, the fleas, the idiots running around, the cold, the heat, etc.
Skittery has never met something he couldn't complain about, and he will. He's a staunch realist or so he says but really he's pessimistic. If anything can go wrong, it will go wrong. That's just the name of the game. And he doesn't know where he got his nickname, maybe it's just the way he acts like something bad is going to happen no matter what he does? Oh well, who cares.
