She came over to the new world with her parents when she was an infant and they settled into a New York apartment with a couple other families trying to make ends meet in the slums. Her mother got a job as a housekeeper and cook in upper manhattan while her dad went to work for the train yards. When she was small life was pretty much smooth sailing, even as she worked as a bread girl on the street from time to time. She never knew unhappiness or any other way really. But that all changed when her mother caught typhoid and was sent out into quarantine. She died there a few months later leaving little Bridie (as she was called by her parents) and her father to fend for themselves. Time was tough and the teamsters union was under fire. She'd made friends with a fiery boy calling himself Spot Conlon while her father worked and she listened to his complaints and offered her own brand of advice. Though she had friends and life seemed alright her father was killed in a train yard accident two years after her mother and she was thrown into an orphanage with many other children who had hit hard times. There she met a kid named Ten Pin, who said that if she wanted to leave the door wouldn't stop her. She also met Sweets before she came to Manhattan and they both bonded in a strange sort of way. But, Ten Pin gave her names of places to go, she was easy to talk to and he appreciated her quick mind. When she was about ten years old or so she left the orphanage without much of a how do you do. STaking Ten Pin's advice she went looking for someone they called Spot and found out that she could get what she needed by sharing what she knew. People said a lot when they weren't talking and she was very good at reading people. After some time she settled into the lodging house. And she goes from borough to borough and has ever since. Covering up blond curls and being a no holds bared kind of girl in a scuffle, she's never considered herself much but she's good at finding things out. And her name Bridie, wasn't to far off of the mark. She's currently living in Brooklyn and dating the other informant for the borough, Hawkeye. If it was known how much the two actually knew they would be considered not just dangerous to the other boroughs but to other powers in the city.
