Name- Gwendolyn Aranrhod Iver
Nickname-Gwennie (I know, not a real newsie nickname but nobody's given me one yet. I'm younger than almost everyone and they don't pay me too much mind)
Age- 8
History- I Was born in America but my parents came here from Scotland before my brother was born. My mama's family was really from wales but they came over to Scotland so long ago that nobody who was still alive ever even went there in their whole lives. My mama and papa and brother died of the grippe when i was only six but i remember that before that we used to live all together in our very own apartment and mama used to sew and cook and papa went to work and Joseph and I went to school and didn't work at all. But when they died I had to to work because i wasn't allowed to live in my house anymore and i didn't have anyone to make food for me anymore so I got a job as a newsies and moved into the boarding house I've been here for almost two full years now (it'll really be two in September but it's really really close so I tell people that it's two years anyway even though it's not yet.)
Family- they're all dead now but I had a mama named Bronwen and a papa named Finnian and a bigger brother named Joseph.
Personality- I think I'm really nice and a lot of people say I'm really grown up and smart for only eight
Likes- animals are good if they're not mean and I really like the bigger kids even though they don't talk to me a whole lot and lost and lots of other things but i can't think of them right now.
Dislikes- when its winter and it's really really cold and there's not even any fun snow, though, and i have to sell papes early but nobody else wants to be outside and buy them, i really don't like that. Also, i really don't think i like it when people die or even almost die 'cause it's scary like when mama and papa and Joseph died.
Best friend- My best friend is my doggie Marvin cause he's really big and he protects me even though the bigger kids can't always see him and sometimes they say that he isn't there even though he really is.
Job- Newsie
Anything else you can think of- I can't really think of any thing else right now.
A/N: I'd just like to say, in order too protect myself from any kind of lawsuit or anything, that the picture in my avatar is by lewis hine... NOT ME! (duh) and on a more informal, and interesting, note it is an actual picture of an eight year old newsgirl named Rosy. (just so you know, I copied this from an account on another RPG which I joined yesterday. I just don't want anyone thinking that I stole somme one else's character or anything, I just didn't want to makke up a new character or write a new intro.)
*update* I figured, since the picture I have of Gwennie doesn't show all of her appearence (and I was bored), that I would elaborate a bit more on it in the intro.
looks: dark brown, wavy hair, brown eyes, 4'1" (short people of the world unite! ;D), always wears dresses (huzzah for historical accuracy!)
