"Aye, McGinty's," She nodded and smiled at him. "Come on by anytime, it's good if you're looking for your ale and a place to keep yourself warm," She said humming to herself again. "You work down at the docks?"

Al appreciated the offer, "Yeah, I'll try to drop in sometime." He liked it when she hummed, it was very pretty. With her question he felt comfortable enough to speak more than just a 'yes' or 'no' response. "Aye, I figured it was the closest to my old job; maybe make the transition from sea to land a bit easier by still working near water." Though, he sure did miss the boat. "And it's a lovely place to work; I love being outside."

"The trip over on the boat was long," Daisy said softly, remembering the cramped quarters and bad temper of most of those she had traveled with. "I love the sea, but I don't know that I could spend months and months out on it. But you seem to love it...that's good," She smiled at him.

[New Day]
Daisy looked out over the city as the sun dipped low along the horizon and began to cloak the buildings in darkness. She twisted her fingers in her skirt, worrying the material to try and calm some of the nerves twisting in her stomach. She hated the not knowing, she hated being here and knowing her friends were out there and risking their necks and there wasn't a thing that she could do but sit here and wait for them to get back. She knew they were doing what they had too, she knew it was important too, she worried about all those that had been captured and from what little she had heard about the escaped Manhattan girl's report, it wasn't pleasant.
But she fretted. Please let them all come back okay, please don't make me have to say goodbye to someone else, she sent her message skyward, not knowing if it would do any good or not.
