*NEW DAY*
Sonkai was cleaning up backstage today in order to prep for the weekend. The past few weeks had been incredibly hectic and things were strewn all over the place. Sonkai had told Medda a few hours ago to go lay down and she would clean up but the woman never rested unless Irving Hall was closed. Shaking her head slightly, Sonkai picked up a red dress and held it against her body in front of a mirror. Tilting her head to the side she lifted the skirt a bit before letting it fall again. The dress was pretty but she didn't think it would fall on her the way she liked.

Peaches had walked backstage and saw one of the girls back there, cleaning up. She stood back as she watched the girl hold a red dress up against her. Peaches walked up to her, "Why don't you try it on, darlin'? It would look pretty on you" Peaches smiled at the girl and began helping to clean up. She starting rummaging through some of the dresses that had been laying around. She picked up a pretty green one and held it up against herself, then hung it up on a hanger.

Sonkai glanced up at the girl and frowned for a moment before she recognized her as one of the girls Medda had hired recently. Offering a slight smile, Sonkai shook her head slightly. "It's not the type of dress men pay to see me in." Usually that comment alone was enough to drive the other girls away from her. It wasn't that she didn't want friends, it's that she had learned the hard way that most people, friend or not disappoint you in the end.

"It's not the type of dress men pay to see me in."
Peaches offered a smile back to the girl, "There's no men back here, darlin'. No harm in just tryin' it on. Tryin' on a pretty dress always lifts my spirits, even if I'm not buyin' it or wearin' it anywhere." Peaches kind of chuckled to herself from the comment the girl made. She knew when someone was trying to keep from getting close to anyone. She grew up with all boys so it took a lot to drive her away. She held another dress up against herself, this one was black and white, before placing it on a hanger and hanging it up too.

Sonkai stared at Peaches for a moment, puzzled by the girls friendly attitude. She must be new, that was the only way Sonkai could explain it. -Very- new. All the girls treated her the same here, mostly with cold indifference but also with open hatred when Medda wasn't around. "Well red really is my color..." Sonkai laughed and slipped behind a door to change quickly.

"Well red really is my color..."
Peaches watched the girl slip behind the door to change. Her eyebrows furrowed; the girl obviously thought it strange for Peaches to be talking to her. She wondered why that was... Maybe the other girls didn't treat her very kindly... Well, no matter how the other girls treated her, Peaches was always kind to everyone unless they gave her a reason not to be.
Peaches shrugged her shoulders and went back to cleaning up the rest of the dresses laying around backstage, while she waited for the girl to finish changing.

Sonkai finished lacing up the back of her dress and stepped out into the main part of the backstage. Twirling around, she laughed before heading over to look in the mirror. "This dress is beautiful..." She may have to ask Medda if she could borrow it and where it out one night when she wanted to go somewhere. Turning to Peaches she grinned widely, "What do you think?"

"What do you think?"
Peaches smiled sweetly, "Gorgeous, darlin'. It's a beautiful dress, and definitely your color." Peaches walked over to a little box and pulled out a necklace with some imitation rubies and diamonds and handed it to the girl. "Here, these would look great with that dress."

Sonkai smiled as Peaches held out the necklace to her. Maybe she was different from the other girls who scorned her for being a gypsy. She knew they also didn't like her because she had Medda's favor and the crowd loved to her sing and dance. "Thank you." Taking the necklace from Peaches, Sonkai turned back towards the mirror and pulled the necklace on. It truly did look stunning with the dress. "You have good taste."

Peaches gave her the most friendly smile she had, "Thank you, Darlin'." She stepped forward and helped the girl latch the necklace. "It looks great; very beautiful."
"My name's Peaches, by the way." Peaches picked up the last dress laying around backstage and held it up against herself. It was a beautiful white dress with a black sash around the middle and tiny imitation diamonds around the neckline. She walked over to another mirror sitting against a wall and looked at herself. Peaches smiled, she always loved wearing a pretty dress now and then, even though she grew up with 3 brothers.

Sonkai smiled at Peaches, "You can call me Sonkai." She looked over the dress in Peaches hands and nodded, "You'd look amazing in that dress and I think I have the perfect necklace to match it." Sonkai turned and walked towards her dressing area where she opened up her bottom drawer and pulled out one of her necklaces. It was silver with black pearls and it was one of her most prized possessions but she figured there was no harm in letting the girl try it on for a moment or wear it for a few hours.

Peaches turned to Sonkai, "You think? It's very pretty. I think I'll go try it on." Peaches went behind a door to try the dress on. When she stepped out from behind the door, she walked over to the mirror. Then, she turned to Sonkai and spun for her, "Well, how's it look?" Peaches looked down at the dress and then up at Songkai...

((New Day))
Naomi sighed as she walked into the backstage of Medda's. She was still working at Caprice Hall but with Arianette having gone with her husband who knows where she'd had to take over for her. Even so, she was still friends with Medda and didn't let that stop her one bit from continuing the Caprice tradition of excellence.
Frowning she lifted her head and stepped out onto the stage and looked around. Toby had let her in and she folded her arms as she tapped her fingers against her arm. She always came to see Medda when there wasn't a performance at Caprice. She liked having tea.
"Medda?!" she called out as she moved back. "You find the burgundy silk yet?!"

Medda glanced up when she heard her name called, quickly she finished applying some rouge to her cheeks and then stepped out of her dressing room. She hadn't recognized the voice right off the bat but the moment she saw Naomi a wide smile spread across her face and she walked towards the woman to give her a hug. "Dear, I haven't seen you in awhile. How have you been? And yes I did find it."

She laughed and hugged her, "I've been busy running your competition. But I still love you as always Medda. How are you?" she'd heard a lot of things around the city but she'd been busy putting on an organizing shows at Caprice Hall. It was to be honest a lot of fun.
