Evangeline was leaning over the water, stroking the peddles of a water lily that happened to be floating near the edge. Summer wasn't best for flowers, but their scent filled the air. They were all around her now and that made her soften where she'd hardened over the last few months. Flowers could make her do a variety of things she wouldn't normally do. She loved them.
Falling back from her haunches she sat on the grass, she was going to have grass stains on her skirt and more then likely Marie was going to scold her, like she had all summer about her earthy habits. But with the sun shining over head, and the birds singing. Evie didn't care. For a moment she was content with the world how it was. And that made a difference.

He watched her a few minutes, unable to help it. Struck down by a girl's beauty yet again. But he never really had the courage to speak to them. Till now. Well, kind of. He made a revolution this year, that New Year's Eve tradition. Or something like that. Anyway, it was: Speak Up. Dutchy sucked in a deep breath, striding confidently to the girl sitting amongst the flowers. Stopping a foot from her he exhaled, slowly realizing he had been holding his breath all the while, holding a newpaper out to her. 'Hiya,' He thought of saying, 'I must say these flowers pale in comparison to your beauty. Paper, young miss?'
Instead it came out, "Hey, wanna buy a pape?"

<New Day>
Daisy loved sitting by the pond, especially at this time of day, just before dusk when the sun was just beginning to set and sparkled across the water like magic. It caused her mind to wander, to go to all the places she read about in her books. Playing with the material of her skirt, she settled into the grass and gazed at the water, a soft smile playing across her lips.

Jem was sitting up in the tree near the pond. He didn't know Daisy was there. He was keeping himself distracted by tearing leaves apart. He looked around the branch that he sat on. He looked over and saw a chipmunk on another branch.
"Oh, hi!" he said to the chipmunk. He stood up slowly and held onto the tree as he walked towards it. Of course the chipmunk got scared and dashed up the tree. "Hey come back!" he said. But the bark on the tree was frozen. He slipped. "Whoa...way... WHOA!" he fell from the tree, but grabbed onto the branch before he fell to the ground. He held on really tight it wasn't much of a fall from there, but he couldn't tell that from where he was. He just knew he was up high and he didn't wanna fall!

Daisy had heard Jem's voice from the tree and then saw him crashing to the ground, a look of concern flashing across her face as she saw him fall. Jumping up she hurried underneath of the tree and up at where he was dangling from the branch. "Jem! Jem are you alright?"

*New Day*
Sarah sat on her knees next to the pond in Central Park picking lotus and iris flowers for her mother. These flowers that grew by the pond were beautiful this time of year when they would bloom beautifully in such vibrant colors. Both Sarah and her mother loved these flowers so instead of going to the flower shop she just picked them herself.

Crutchy thought that he would sell at Central Park instead at his usual spot. Crutchy saw Sarah picking Lotus and Iris flowers. Crutchy walked up behind Sarah and said "heya Sarah".

Sarah turned to the voice. Seeing it was someone she knew, she smiled. "Hi, Crutchy. How've you been?"

"Hi, Crutchy. How've you been?"
"I've been great Sarah! What about you?" said Crutchy sounding like his usual self, happy.

Sarah smiled half-heartedly, shrugging. Things weren't bad, she couldn't really complain. But lately she had felt a little out of place. She hadn't seen or talked to her brothers in a while, especially David, and she didn't have many friends. It was the fact that she was lonely though never really being alone that made her feel the way she did.

"Sarah don't mind me asking but you seem sad, whats wrong?" said Crutchy.
Crutchy hadn't really talked to Sarah sense the strike, which was a while ago.

She shook her head. "It's nothing really. Things have just been a bit slow lately." Sarah didn't really know know Crutchy -- she knew of him. She hadn't spent much time getting to know any of the newsies except Jack and she hadn't even spoke to him in a great while. It's like she had been in hiding for the past year or so. No one had seen much of her either.

Star was just walking around and somehow ended up in Central Park, Star liked central park, it was peaceful and calming.
Star picked up a rock from off the ground and skipped it into the water, when it was done skipping it made a "Plop" sound. When it made that sound she smirked.

(New Day)
Tate was sitting near the pond, she'd gotten off of work early on account of her "Giving away willy nilly" according to Stan. She didn't mind to much though, she liked to give and helping people was in her nature. She had put her foot in her mouth with that man but she'd made up for it with sweet buns. That was how she made amends.
"One day Tate you'll have your own bakery and sweet shop, yes! That is my mission." She stood up and struck a somewhat awkward pose, making an interesting silhouette against the water. "I will be a somebody, just like Daddy.."
