Runti walked in, a little unsure of what she was doing. She looked around and gave a little inward cheer. It was everything and more she had ever dreamed of. All Runti wanted was a place to lay her head at night and somewhere to come back to.

Jade walked into the lodging house and sat down,putting her sling shot down beside her.
she looked around and sighed.'long day' jade thought and slouched into a chair, wishing she could melt right into it.

Reid walked down the stairs, in a fairly good mood which was different than how he'd felt lately because lately he'd been arguing with his sister constantly but it seems to have gotten better they'd just had a really good talk and worked out a lot of the problems they'd been having. He smiled when he saw Jade, "Hey, how's your day going?"

Reid grinned and walked over to sit next to Jade, "Pretty much the same as yours. I guess I could use a little fun but I just don't have the time for it these days." He ran a hand through his hair and studied Jade for a moment before looking away. "Been busy selling?"

she sagged into the chair."Jist wish i'se could sink inta the chair,same here dough,no time fer fun."
"You'se had a good day sellin unlike me?"she said and smiled.

Reid shrugged, "I only bought thirty to sell so it wasn't too bad." He hadn't been in the selling mood lately, he'd actually been up in Manhattan most of the day trying to decide if it was a good idea to see if Irving Hall was hiring. Of course he hadn't ended up going in but he had watched a couple of boxing matches and won three dollars off that. All in all it hadn't been to bad of a day. "Where you been walking to?"

Jade crossed her legs and closed her eyes "Round 'hattan." she said simply.
she opened one eye and studied him for a moment.

she said casually and closed her eyes once again.

He nodded and leaned back to get a little more comfortable. "Ah just had some things to talk about with my sister, Lexi." He grinned, wondering what the other girls here thought of Lexi. The Jersey City newsgirls had not been very fond of her but then again she seemed to have changed a lot since they got here maybe that had changed as well.

Jade squinted her eyes and tried to think of who lexi was...."I'se don' know 'er,well i'se don' know any of da goils,i'se been here foar two months,only made one friend."
she said slightly embarrased.
she looked around,she was barely in the biulding,never really got to look at it.

Reid shrugged slightly, "I don't really know many people either. I work a lot and take of my little brother so it doesn't leave much time to make friends." He grinned, even if he hadn't made a lot of friends he'd met a lot of interesting characters since coming here.
"I'm sure Lexi doesn't really talk to a lot of the girls here anyway. She's always out doing something or the other and she's never really been the type to strike up a conversation." Reid grinned and ran a hand through his hair. "So who have you gotten to know here?"

Reid shrugged, "I know a few people, not that many though." He wondered if it was weird that he didn't have any friends here, then again she didn't have many so he supposed it probably didn't matter. "I don't usually hang around the houses. I spend most of my free time wandering the city trying to get to know it."

jade looked at him and nodded her head in agreement."Ya I'se do dat too,hopefully i'se will be able to know da city enough to be able ta wanda around da city blindfolded with a wad of cash and be able ta git aroun fine,and not git mugged."
jade said and regretted saying that,she felt really stupid.
she smiled tried to think of something to say to change the subject.
