Frost rubbed the side of his head a bit and looked upwards through the leaves. He took a deep breath to push away the headache that threatened to take over. He brought his cool blue gaze back to her as his hand fell to rub his cheek before returning to its orginal place across his chest. "What do you want?"

Magenta was bewildered by the rudeness in his voice, and gave him a small glare. "Well, sorry for trying to be nice. I was just trying to make some friends." Standing up and starting to walk over to another tree, she turned back around and said, "But obviously, not a lot of people like friends, I can see."
Almost stomping her feet away from him, she slid down another tree that was a few feet away from Frost, and when he wasn't looking at her, she stole a few glances at him. Trying to show that she didn't care, she took her hat off her head and started playing with it and glancing around.

Frost didnt reply to that as he watched with raised brows as she stomped angrily away and he rolled his eyes upwards. He briefly wondered how old she was... by the way she was acting hed say between 12 - 15 maybe... He wasnt good with guessing ages, so he figured that was a big enough bracket. He didnt glance her way again as he sat down then, one leg bent up an arm resting across his knee. The other lay stretched out as he plucked at the grass and toyed with it between his fingers. He was merely passing the time right now till he had to actually do something.,

:New Day: Lock stood on the corner, shouting out headlines and waving his last pape. He only bought 25 papers, not wanting to loose money. It turned out to be a good idea. He had enough money for food and rent. He was relieved when a man came and dropped a penny in his hand, then took the last pape. "Good day, sir." He called, and was glad to see the man tip his hat in return.
Lock put his money in his pocket, but continued standing at the corner. Maybe he'd see someone he knew or find another newsie. This was a prime spot to sell.

Fighter made her way down Myrtle Avenue, ducking her head. Hoping not to see anyone she knew on her way towards her friends place. She needed to see Brogan and her brother to talk to them about what was going on and see if they could offer any help. As she rounded a corner, she didn't take notice of the newsie right in front of her and walked into him. She stumbled for a moment but righted herself quickly and gazed at him, not really recognizing him.

Magenta was looking around for Lock after she had finished selling her papes, but this was the only place she didn't look yet. She was looking left and right, not watching her pathway.
Turning the corner, she bumped into two people. And fell backwards. Coughing a bit, Magenta looked up. Smiling at Lock and the other girl, she said, "Hi, Lock. "

Fighter let out a hmph when she was slammed into, "God it's a damn pile-up." She let her usual smirk cross her face as she glanced between the two before patting the front of her pants the back and smoothing her disheveled hair a bit.

While Lock was turned, he felt a quick force. A girl had run into him. "I'm sorry..." He stammered. "I didn't mean to get in the way." He barley had time to figure out who was in front of him when another person ran into them. He heard Magenta's voice, and the girl in front of him spoke as well.
Letting go of the girl, Lock stepped back. "Are you ok?" He asked both of the girls. "I didn't mean to get in the way." He looked at the girl he didn't know. "I'm sorry." He said once more. He took a step towards Magenta, checking to make sure she didn't hurt herself. He reached out a hand for her to right herself. With one hand stretched out he looked back to the other girl. "Um... I'm Lock." He said awkwardly; what else do you say to someone you just literally ran into.

Magenta smiled and took his hand to stand up. "Oh, I'm fine. I actually found the person I was looking for." Brushing off her skirt and fixing her even more wrinkled shirt, she waited for the other girl to introduce herself.

Fighter glanced between them and raised her eyebrow slightly before taking out her cigarette case and removing a cigarette from it. After sticking the case back in her pocket and lighting her cigarette she finally glanced at them again. "Fighter Mallory, pleasure to meet you." Well run into him was more like it, but she couldn't help the fact that the other girl had run into her. She just sort of gazed at Magenta not really appreciating being slammed into after she'd just plowed into some guy. Although she couldn't be rude about it, she wasn't exactly going to be nice about it either.

Lock forced a smile, trying to lighten the mood. He smiled at Magenta, assuming she meant him. He figured a crash wasn't the usual start of friendships. "Nice to meet you, Fighter." He let nodded his head for a more gentleman-like hello. He pointed to Magenta, "This is my friend Magenta, if you haven't met her." He wasn't really sure who Magenta knew and didn't. "You from Queens?" he asked politely.

Magenta smiled back at Lock, and looked back to Fighter. "Hello." Was all she said, since Lock already introduced her to Fighter.

Fighter glanced between them a few times before giving Magenta a nod, she didn't know the girl so she didn't feel obliged to say anything more to her just yet. "Brooklyn, actually."
She gave them a smirk and her eyebrow inched up once again, "You both from Queens then? I don't usually come through these parts so I don't recognize you."

"Brooklyn, eh." He thought about it. "Don't think I've ever been to Brooklyn." He might have gone once or twice, but it wasn't something he really remembered. "Yeah, we're from Queens." He looked the girl over, she seemed nice, but he noticed how she didn't really acknowledge Magenta, except for a nod. He tried not to think much of it. "What brings you here?" If she needed something, he decided it was only nice to offer her help.

Fighter shrugged and pushed a piece of hair off her face, "Just looking up an old friend." She smirked to herself and gazed between the two. "Well I best be off, as much fun as it was running into you and being run into I gotta get going." She nodded and started off down the street.
