Perry nodded, "That's a good idea, I should tell her that. Then again she's probably just gonna say that the ones that stick up for me are the nice ones and for every nice one theres a naughty one." He rattled off the saying as if he'd heard it a million times. "I know she just wants to look out for me, but it ain't like I'm so little I don't know what to do and not to do. She just thinks that people will hurt me cause they can. Oh well..." He trailed off as he gazed up at the clouds and then he excitedly tapped Gwennie on the shoulder and pointed to a cloud. "Look it looks like a dog, is that what your dog looks like?"

"Whoa....that's really tall!" He smiled at her description of the dog, thinging that it was so neat that she had a dog no one but her could see. "Why'd you name him Marvin, huh?" He was incredibly curious about all things and some people found it annoying but you could never tell right off the bat.

Nodding, Perry got lost in his thoughts for a moment before saying anything. "I wish my sister would let me get a dog. She says they cost too much to feed. I don't think so, he can just eat my leftovers." Perry had always wanted a dog but in his mind having a dog wasn't that big of a deal to him where as Lexi thought of all of the practical things. "I want a big black one!"

Perry smiled, completely excited by the thought. "What would I name him though? I bet Reid would be so jealous!" Perry loved the idea of making his older brother jealous because Reid had a tendency to pick on Perry.

Perry nodded, "Where'd you find Marvin?" He was curious to find where you could find a dog that no one could see but was bigger than the clouds. He started trying to think of a name, he'd have to ask Lexi about it later.

"I found 'im in dis one place neah da shoah wheah you can see da statue of libahty." answered Gwennie "my mama an' papa always loved dat place. so, I loved it too." she continued in a whistful undertone "dat's da trick, ya see, ya gotta find da place dat ya love da most 'cause dat's where you'll find 'em. Den , when ya find da right place ya gotta get a pictchah in ya head of what yoah dog is gonna look like. Aftah dat ya gotta make yaself see 'im standin' dere, in da spot dat ya chose. Ya only gotta see 'im wit' ya head at first an' dat's really all ya gotta do da first day but ya gotta come back every day an' see 'im dere again an' again. Aftah awhile you should se 'im movin' a little, den a little moah an' a little moah until he's runnin' all ovah da place all on 'is own an' ya can see 'im with ya eyes 'stead a' jus' ya head. Once dat happens, ya can take 'im anywheah an' he'll nevah leave ya" She finished, smiling proudly.

Perry frowned the moment she said he had to be at a place he loved, "I guess I'll just have to play with you and Marvin instead of getting my own. I don't have any places that I love here. I loved a couple of places where we used to live. Maybe in awhile I'll love some here too." Perry was incredibly disappointed, and it made him feel a little resentful for being brought here. Of course, the emotion didn't last long.

"No ya don't" said Gwennie reassuringly "Since ya in anew place it's prolly okay ta use a place dat ya jus' like. It jus' might take a little longah 'cause ya gotta really be able ta see da place in ya mind really well befoah ya start ta pictchah ya dog dere." To tell the truth, she wasn't absolutely sure that this was true, but it made sense to her. Besides, Perry had looked so disappointed, she had to say something to cheer him up.

Perry's face instantly brightened, "Really? You think so?!" He was so excited to get started. "I'm not sure of a place I like though, I guess I gotta find one first. I mean I like it here but I like my bunkroom too. I don't know..." He trailed off, incredibly indecisive over the entire thing.

Perry squeezed his eyes shut and tried imagining a dog, but he kept just seeing funny shapes of a bunch of colors. "I guess I need to practice more," He said opening his eyes. "I can't wait to see him and tell Lexi all about him."
