"Yeah" said Gwennie, unfased by the fact that he had been unsuccessful "Like I said, it takes awhile, ya jus' gotta keep comin' back an' tryin', you'll get it eventually. " she explained, smiling encouragingly "Maybe in da meantime ya can work on da name 'cause dat's really important, I mean, how would you feel if ya didn't have a name?"

Perry nodded, his face looking so serious for a little boy. "You're right I would feel left out if I didn't have a name. I'll have to think about that too, I'm not sure what to name him." He'd never had a dog and the possibility of having all of this even if it was imaginary was amazing.

Gwennie pursed her lips pensively tapping her finger against them "well" she said, trying to remember all of the names she had gone though when coming up with a name for Marvin "What kinda name do ya like?" she asked, not wanting to impose her own preference on his pet's name.

"I'm not sure, there's loads to pick from." His mind was all over the place, he was so unsure of what he wanted to name his yet to even exist imaginary puppy. When his stomach growled he laughed, "I haven't eaten since dinner." It never really crossed his mind that he should eat, his siblings made sure he didn't starve but other than that he barely thought about feeding himself.

"Ya got any money?" she asked wondering why he wouldn't have eaten in so long, especially since the nuns came by every morning, no matter what borough you were in, and handed out bread. " 'cause dere's a lotta good food places around heah if ya do."

Perry shook his head, "My sister does though. She told me to stay here and she'd be back in a little bit." Of course, here, having been over 300 yards to the left, but he didn't understand that. He just thought she would know where he was, in fact she was currently panicing over not being able to find him and cursing herself for letting him out of her eyesight.

Gwennie nodded, unduely symapathetic, she couldn't imagine not being in control of her own money, it had been so long since she had been in that situation she could hardly remember it at all. "Well, you should go find ya sistah den 'cause she'll prolly be awhile if ya don't. Grownups are always take way longer den dey say dey will." pausing for a moment to make sure she didn't have any plans that she forgot about, she got up from the ground and brushed the grass off of her dress "come on, I'll help" she offered, concluding that she, indeed, did not have any prior commitments.

Perry smiled and stood as well, not bothering to brush himself off since he really didn't care. "Thanks so much!" He looked around, unsure of where to start looking. "Hmm...well maybe that way..."He pointed in a randomn direction and started walking, feeling proud of himself for making a new friend who would help him look for his sister.

Gwennie followed Perry, looking around as she went for any young women who looked like him. "Hey, Perry, what does ya sistah look like?" she asked, realizing that she should probably have that information before she tried to look for her.

Perry shrugged slightly, "She's taller than me but not by much and she's got short black hair. She's kinda pale, but don't tell her that she'll get upset!" Perry scanned through the crowds becoming a bit upset that he couldn't find her. "What if I can't find her? What should I do then?"

Perry nodded and pointed, "I think that's her." The girl he pointed was indeed his sister with a very frazzled and scared look on her face. She'd been searching for her brother for the past half hour and was going to be extremely relieved when she saw him. "Yep that's Lexi. Want to come meet her?"

Gwennie turned to look in the that Perry was pointing and saw a frantic looking girl searching feverishly for something or someone which Gwennie assumed was Perry. "sure" she answered, smiling and following him over to the girl.

Perry walked towards Lexi and started waving his arms and calling out her name, "Lexi! Lexi! I'm hungry!" As they got closer and Lexi found the source of the voice calling to her she ran over and gave Perry a tight hug before scolding him and telling him to never wander off like that again because he could've given her a heart attack. "I'm sorry, Lexi......I'm hungry though!" She couldn't help but laughing before turning to Gwennie and asking Perry what her name was. "Oh this is Gwennie, she has a really neat dog named Marvin."

Gwennie watched as Lexi hugged Perry, she felt a slight pang of sadness at seeing how relieved she was to find him. That was one of the main things that she missed about having family, the knowledge that someone else was just as invested in your safety as you were. It's the type of thing that you don't notice unil you lose it but when you did, you realize just how much you cherished it, wihout even noticing it was there. Suddenly, she was snapped out of her train of thought whan she heard Perry introduce her "Hi!" she greeted, waving at Lexi, a cheery smile on her face "Marvin says hi too" she added as an afterthought "he really likes meeting new people"
