Jade sat down on her bunk and smiled. I've been here for about a month and a half, haven't made many friends yet." Jade said and frowned to herself, but seeing the smile on
her face brought one to raines.
"Why do they call you buttons? They call me Raine because my im like the rain, could change from light drizzle to heavy storm. Also because the rain is my favorite time odf weather."

"I'll be ya friend," Buttons said with a small giggle and pointed to her bed at the bear that leaned against the pillow. "And so will Tubby!" She bounced a bit in excitement she liked making friends.
"Why do they call you buttons? They call me Raine because my im like the rain, could change from light drizzle to heavy storm. Also because the rain is my favorite time of weather."
Smiling her little toothless grin she pointed at her nose. "My mama called me Buttons cause of my nose, she said it was a button nose." She blinked a little and cocked her head to the biting her lip. "Storms scare me, I don't like the thunder it's too loud." She said making a face.

Raine nodded "I used to hat the rain and the noisy thunder, but i realized that it and i had alot in common and it changed my view of it."
laughing as buttons giggled and announed that she would be her friend.
"So this is tubby..." raine said and kneeled and shook tubbys hand enthuastically,
"Hiya tubby im raine."

Buttons looked out the window just glad it wasn't raining now. Smiling, she looked back over at Raine "What do you have in common?" She asked curiously.
Laughing, Buttons bounced over to her bear and brought it up to her ear so she could "listen" to it. "He says hi and that he likes you. He thinks your nice." Setting the bear back on the bed she sat down on it too her little legs not touching the floor.

"Tubby I like u too, and your friend buttons." raine announced.
Raine sat on the windowsill and smiled to herself.
"Well,things can change quickly for the rain, as well as myself."
raine looked at tubby
"How old is tubby buttons?"

Buttons smiled up at the girl from where she sat, "I like you too," She giggled and blinked as she listened to Raine describe how the rain and her were alike and nodded, she sorta understood, but hey she was seven, she'd figure it out sooner or later.
Looking back over at Tubby she scrunched up her nose in thought. "Tubby's 4," She said with a thoughtful nod, "Yeah he's 4."

raine said playfully and took out her sling shot and set it on her bunk.

Buttons nodded enthusiastically with a smile, "Yeah, he doesn't say much though, all the people make him nervous." She informed Raine as she watched her take out a slingshot. "Ya know how ta use that?"

Raine nodded with a smile. "Ya I know how ta use this, When you are a newsie, you usaully need to know to use something to help yourself." raine looked around and started whistling a happy tune.
