Since he's gotten settled te place looks a whole lot nicer. There's still his bed room, a spare room, kitchen, and living area. But now instead of sitting on boxes and having junk everywhere you can now sit on a chair! Or the couch, which has a blanket thrown over the back.
By far more welcoming, and much cleaner. Come on in! I'm sure Ave is around here somewheres.

Lexi nervously knocked on Avalanche's door, she wasn't sure he'd be home but she wanted to thank him for walking her home. He'd been a big help with helping her try to get another job. Although she hadn't had much luck finding places hiring they all told her that if they had been she would have been hired. She'd asked a few of the newsies if they knew where she could find Avalanche and one of them had told her where he lived. In her arms she carried a few sandwiches and an extra chunk of cheese she thought he might like. Most newsies were fond of it, considering how rarely they could eat it.

Avalanche heard the knock. "Nobody's home!" he called and chuckled a little. He stood up off the couch from where he'd been reading the news paper. He hadn't been wearing a shirt, just slumming around the apartment. He unlocked the locks on the door, but left the chain hooked and opened the door far enough to see who it was.
"Alex! I mean... Alexandreia! Hi! Uh, what are you doin' here? Find a job?" he asked, disregarding the fact that he was talking to her through the door.

Lexi smiled when Avalanche opened the door, "Well not really, but only because a lot of places aren't hiring." She pushed her hair back with her free hand, "I wanted to thank you in person though because they've told me that if they could hire me they would. And one lady at the flower shop told me to go to a resturaunt in Queens that she knows is hiring and tell the she recomended me." She smiled and lifted the basket that she was holding, "So I brought some food to thank you.I hope you don't think it's terribly odd of me to come looking for you."

"Oh! Uh hold on," he said and closed the door. He turned around a couple of tiems... and then dashed towards his bedroom. He threw on a blue shirt that made his brown eyes stand out even more. He did up a few buttons in the middle before he tucked it in and undid the chain on the door. He was still short about 3 or 4 buttons when he openened the door, showing a bit of skin.
"Please, come in," he said as he opened the door for her and bowed elequently. "I'm not one to turn down food, especially from such a pretty lady," he said. Once she came inside he closed the door after her. "So, what restaurant in Queens?" he added following after her.

She blushed a bit as she walked inside and noticed that his shirt still wasn't buttoned all the way. Then she smiled and dismissed the thought of embarrassment. "Molivos...that's who she said she thought might be hiring." Lexi couldn't help but be curious about Avalanches appartment and looked around quickly.
Looking up at Avalanche, she smiled and set the basket down on the first available service. "I figured you wouldn't turn down food. I don't know a man in the world who would. Although I do know a few who should.." She laughed lightly and looked at him, "You, of course, not being one of them."

Avalanche's apartment wasn't really well lit, but what house was these days? In the living room was a couch and a chair and a table covered in old news papers. There were a few pictures nailed into the wall. The kitchen could be seen and it was a bit untidy, no dishes in the sink, just clean ones sitting on the counter. As for the dinning room table, if you would call it that, more like desk almost, it was covered in a table cloth, and the table cloth was covered in empty boxes. the hallway lead back to the bathroom, and bedroom, and the small spare room.
"Sorry about the mess," he said meaning the boxes and papers through out the place. "I never quite got all moved in ya see," he explained.
"But uh, Molvio's huh? Us Queens kids used ta go there all the time. It's a great place," he said with a bright smile. You can set your stuff down on the newspapers if ya want. They ain't gonna hurt nothin'," plus they were in an organized mess, and he didn't want his organization thrown off. Though the ones on the floor had just... fallen one day, and he'd never picked them up, and they'd gotten scattered around the apartment nearly like wall paper on the floor.

Lexi smiled and gave Avalanche a shrug, "It's not that messy. Besides I was only one of eight female newsies in Jersey City. You can imagine what that lodging house looked like." She grinned and set the basket down on the newspapers, beginning to pull out some bread and cheese. She didn't have any meat but she did have a couple apples with her.
At the mention of Molvio's Lexi smiled slightly, "Yes, I'm pretty excited about it. I was hoping to stop by there later today or early tomorrow." She just wanted to visit Avalanche because although it wasn't so hard to make friends she felt her brothers were having an easier time at meeting people than she was. Truth be told she was beginning to get a little lonely.

He smiled brightly at her. "Well, sounds like a great plan! The sooner the better I say. The sooner you pick up this job the more comfortable you'll get in it," he reassured her. "In all honesty, i'm kinda glad you came by. I had no plans for food, and well was thinkin' of walkin' 'til I found some newsies to treat to dinner. This'll be cheaper," he said with a chuckle. He was kidding of course. He just missed his old newsie friends.
"Things going alright for you down in the Bronx Alexandreia? No one giving you trouble?" he asked with a small smirk as he sat down next to her on the couch to help her make sandwiches, though once he sat down he almost instantly stood up and dashed to the kitchen.

Lexi laughed when he mentioned treating the newsies to a meal, "You're quite the kind soul, aren't you?" She gave him a grin and starting preparing the food.
"I agree, I think I'm going to head over there when I leave here." She was trying to put off going back to the lodging house where her life had become so lonely. She was so tempted to pick up gambling again but she was fighting the urge with every fiber of her being. She wasn't keen on getting into the same trouble she had in Jersey City and she definatly didn't want to get soaked again anytime soon.
She gave him a smile when he asked about people giving her a hard time, "Nah no ones bothering me." No one's talking to her either but they aren't bothering her. When he dashed into the kitchen she couldn't help but let out a loud giggle, "Where's the fire?"

"Hold on!" he called back from the kitchen. He returned a few minutes later with part of a ham and a salami. He came back to the table with those and a knife. "Here, this might help," he said as he started to slice them.
"That'd be a good idea, then ya can prove to 'em ya really interested, and maybe get the job quicker. Maybe even tonight," he said as a piece of ham fell off on to a news paper. "...maybe i should get a plate," he said chuckling. "So," he called from the kitchen, "how's life in the Bronx?" he knew the girls there were sweet hearts. He figured Alexandreia would fit right in with all of them.

Lexi smiled when he came back with some meat, "Yes that will make it taste better." She grinned up at him and let out a giggle when the meat fell on the newspaper. She shook her head slightly as he walked back into the kitchen, a smile on her face. When he asked about the Bronx she froze for a moment but continued what she was doing, desperately trying to think of something to say. "Oh it's wonderful, everyone is very nice." Lexi wasn't one to sit there and complain about lifes woes, she just wanted to enjoy her time with Avalanche before she headed back. "How's work at the docks?"

"It's... fair," he said chuckling. "If I had my druthers, I'd go back to work as a newsie, but I can't do that anymore," he said. He returned from the kitchen with a plate. He jumped over the back of the couch to sit down beside her.
"Well I'm glad everyone's treatin' you good," he said nodding. "I know the Bronx girls, most of 'em, is real sweet hearts. Only one I ever met who was anythin' but was a girl named Murder... and... well... the girl got her name for a reason, I'll put it that way," he said with a chuckle. Beyond that there's Alanna, and Moira, and all sorts of kids down there who I know are real good people," he said with a short nod. "You friends with any of those girls?" he asked trying to see who she knew, and who she hadn't really gotten to know yet.

Lexi smiled when he mentioned a girl named Murder, "I don't think I've met her." She gave a little shrug when he asked who she had met. "Oh a few girls here and there, I'm not really sure of their names. I'm so busy with other stuff, you know." She looked down at her skirt and picked a few pieces of miniscule nonexistant lint. "So what have you been doing?"
Lexi was trying desperately to get the subject changed from herself. She'd never been good at making friends and it hadn't changed when she'd come to New York. Although it seemed a bit worse now because she didn't have booze loosening her lips or gambling to make her haughty and carefree as she used to be.

Avalanche sensed her desire to change the topic. Maybe things weren't going all that well. But he was never one to pry. "Aw, ya wanna know about little ol' me," he said with a smirk. "Nothin' interesting much, just work, come home, fall asleep... wake up, have something to eat, go back to sleep... normal," he said with a smirk. "I do go out and walk a lot though. Walk to see how the prices are doing, buy a few papers, to help the kids out, and head to see how the different kids in the boroughs are doing. Beyond that..." he shrugged. "Anyone in our class just tries to make ends meet on a daily basis," and that was about all he had to say about that.
"I hear there's been a lotta issues recently though, with the leaders not sure what to do about the price jack. You... heard anything about that?" he asked as he grabbed a couple of pieces of bread to make his sandwich.
