A small room in the back where there is a pool table and a few tables for drinking, or playing cards as well. Pick your pleasure.

After making her way through the ever rowdy bar she managed to weave through into the billiards room with her drink in tact. Seeing she wasn't the only one with this idea she simply walked to a table across the room from the boy and took a seat, downing her drink in one gulp and hoping the barmaids made trips back here. Leaning back in her chair she pulled out a cigarette, patting her pockets in search of a match.

Without moving her head her eyes followed the arm up to the stranger's face, and without a word she leaned forward, moving the tip of the cigarette that was hanging from her mouth into the small flame. Taking a few small puffs she leaned back in her seat. "Thanks."

Smalls studied him as he returned to his seat, unsure if she'd seen him around before. If she'd met him here, she probably wouldn't have remembered it anyways. "'Ave we met?" She asked in a somewhat quiet voice, as if he were sitting at her table and not across the room. She knew he could hear her though, her voice traveling easily through the empty space.

She gave him a measuring glance and took a drag on her cigarette before replying. "Smalls." She didn't ask him his, but the look on her face made it clear she expected reciprocation.

Smalls watched him a moment longer before turning back to her empty glass, fiddling with it in her hands. She was sure she'd heard of him before, but she'd heard of most people who spent time in McGinty's. Glancing toward the open doorway she saw a barmaid pass and sighed, seeing she would have to move if she wanted another drink.

Smalls raised an eyebrow and looked from the cards to his face. "Depends who I'm playin'," she said as she stood, making her way over to his table. In reality she rarely ever played cards, and when she did it was usually with Lucky, the outcome there obvious.

Smalls just nodded, taking a seat across from him. She slid her cards off the table and casually examined them, unconsciously fiddling with the cigarette hanging from her lips. ((ha, I know nothing of poker.. I'll follow your lead... )

As soon as he'd picked up his cards she tossed one of hers onto the small pile, drawing one to replace it. She wasn't surprised as she subtley watched his eyes that she found little, he was after all the one who had the cards and asked her to play.
((haha, I'd do something but I don't know what I'm supposed to... XP))

Smalls obliged, laying down her hand. It wasn't the best, a mere three of a kind, and it made her glad they hadn't put money on the hand. She glanced up at him expectantly.

She shrugged with a hint of a smug grin on her lips. Her greatest advantage in poker was her honest apathy toward the outcome, nerves were always what gave people away. "You aint bad yaself." As a barmaid finally made her way over and dropped two drinks on the table, Smalls took hers and downed it in a gulp. She was about to signal for another drink, but she quickly remembered how things had turned out last time she got drunk and decided to take it slow.
"So, Dutch, what do you do? Besides play pokah o'course." She took a final puff of her cigarette before putting it out on the old scuffed up table and flicking it to the dirty ground.

She shrugged. "Jist sell papes. It aint fun but it pays." Glancing up at him she gave him a studied glance. "How is it you can afford ta come to a pub if ya aint got a job?" She wasn't judging him, most people she knew that had no work were living on the streets and picked out of garbages. She was impressed.

((sorry sorry!))
Smalls nodded, accepting it as a good enough explanation. "What's 'er name?" She came in here a lot, and though she didn't always remember the bartenders, they usually remembered her. Many times she walked into the pub only to get weird smirks or looks of displeasure from the staff. She just ignored them, not remembering what she did last time she was in and if it was something that warranted such a look she was sure she didn't want to be reminded of it.

((I suppose this would be a new thread. ) Fighter pushes a stray strand of hair away from her face and glances around, lifting the mug of beer to her lips. Trying to size up those around her Fighter decided to try her luck with cards today. She just wasn't sure how well she was going to play, considering she hasn't in a few months. Last time she played she nearly lost the clothes off her back as well as all the money in her pocket. The game was just addicting, maybe a little bit too addicting.

::New::
Azzo sat at the small table, a drink in one hand and a cigarette in the other. His hat was pulled low over his eyes, so he could see out, but no one could see in. It was the first time in a long while he had seen the pub so full. Then again, with tomorrow being a holiday a lot of people took off work, so there was no reason to go to sleep early. He took another gulp of his drink, finishing it off. He stuck his cigarette in his mouth, taking a few puffs, and headed over to the pool tables to play a little.
