"First cart I see I plan on hopping on." Pete replied keeping an eye out for anything going in the direction of Queens. He picked up his pace a bit in a hurry to get Ada home. "I'll get you home Ada." And if he didnt he would take care of her and watch out for her through the night.

She yawned again and settled her chin and surrendered her weight accidentally. "It's really late, I need to get you a watch--" she was actually working on it. She'd get him that watch-- and show him how to use it so he wasn't late.

He so wasnt going to get her back to the Bronx before she fell asleep and he couldnt carry her all the way there if she was asleep like this. He sighed he had money on him and it might be safer then walking at night. "Ada... I think we need to find a place to hunker down for the night." He had some money. More then enough to spend a night in a lodging house.

"Eh?" she opened her eyes and sighed softly. "Where?" Ah, she really didn't want to stay in Brooklyn, that was like asking for trouble. She knew about Spot Conlon, everyone did but she was wondering really if going to a lodging house to sleep was a good idea. Then again, they didn't have many options.
