Maggie snorted. "Girls do a lot of the work..our hands are small enough to fit into the dangerous machines." She shrugged. "I'm from California." She poured him a shot. "...now were you on the run? Cops? Mob?"

Maggie nodded. "Yes...but I was a small child when we moved out there--I'm a California lass at heart." She laughed. "I got that sun and surf in my veins...that gold. I feel golden." She smirked and tugged on her curls a bit.

Maggie shrugged and took another shot. "Couldn't help it. Had to come live with my grandpa...dad died and had used all our money up--poor man left us penniless." She didn't care really, she just missed her father a bit.

Maggie shrugged. "I live with my mom and my grandfather." She laughed. "We need money--money is good at the Mill. So I work there." She pulled out a cigarette. "My mother works there as well." She lit her cigarette and took a long drag.
