Daisy led the girl over to an empty bed and sat her down on it, reaching for an extra blanket. "How are ya? Cold, hot?" She pressed a hand to the girl's forehead, her eyes looking over her tiny frame.

"Cold." Cheater replied, feeling her eyelids beginning to droop.

Daisy draped the extra blanket over her and pressed a cool cloth to her forehead. "What's your name doll?" She asked, hoping she could get that information before the girl drifted off to sleep. She was trying to help Aria keep records.

Cheater, whose eyes had been closed until this point, opened them again. "Cheater." She mumbled, before closing her eyes and drifting off to sleep.

<New Day>
Daisy led Sweets over to a bed and helped her up onto it, tucking the blanket around her before getting her a glass of water. "Here, drink some of this. Are you hungry at all?"

She smiled weakly and accepted the glass, but shook her head. "Nah, I really feel too sick ta eat." She sat up and got a few more coughs out before collapsing back into her pillow. "Thanks for helpin' me out Daisy, well all us kids really, it's shore nice of ya."

"I don't mind, Sweets," Daisy said, handing her a cloth she could cough into. She pressed a cool hand to the girl's forehead and frowned slightly, she was burning up. "I'll let you off the hook with food for now. But later you're going to have some soup...I made it myself so if you say no, you'll only hurt my feelings." She smiled slightly then, letting Sweets know she was teasing.

Cheater, who had been asleep, opened her eyes at the sounds of voices. She was still freezing, and felt sick to her stomach. Slowly, she sat up and looked at Sweets and Daisy. The corner of her mouth turned up in a smile, before she went into another fit of coughing that left her feeling as if her lungs were on fire.

Jack slipped into the curtained room, following the sound of Sweets voice. He really hoped Sweets wasn't too cross at him. He had a bag in his hand, and stood at the edge, waiting for Sweets to notice him.

Sweets grinned at Daisy as she sunk into her pillow and allowed her eyes to droop shut. Starting slightly she opened her eyes to peer at the unfamiliar coughing girl sharing her makeshift room, but something else caught her gaze.
For a long moment she silently stared at the Manhattan leader, her mind at a loss of what to say as her emotions fought over how to feel. In the end she managed a small smirk. "Welcome home Cowboy."

Jack grinned. Well..she didn't seem mad at him.
"Here I come home, hoping I get a party thrown in my honor...and I find ya'll sick." He sunk down into a chair near her bed, rummaging through his bag. "Ya don't look bad, Sweets."

Daisy looked Sweets over and then glanced in Cheater's direction, turning when she heard Sweets say something to someone over her shoulder. She looked and saw a handsome young man standing near the curtain, watching. She wanted to say something, but couldn't think of anything so she stayed silent, going about the process of pressing a cold cloth to Sweets' head after nodding at him.

She knew he was joking about the party, but couldn't help but feel a bit miffed at it regardless. A party for his return after he had deserted them?
Shaking the thought from her head she sighed with a small shrug. "Nah, but most a these kids 'ave been on death's doorstep for weeks now. I only jist got heah.." She eyed him curiously as he dug through his bag. "So how was it Jack? How was Santa Fe?" She said the word in a dreamy way, though there was a distinguishable tone of disdain to be heard as well.

Jack nodded to the pretty girl dabbing Sweet's forehead before looking down at his friend. "...Santa Fe was good..." He wasn't going to mention her sarcasm--he probably deserved some of it. "Got some sun, road horses, wrangled cattle...missed all ya'll."
He pat her arm gently before producing a cowboy hat and a two bags of candy--one contained rock candy, the other some mexican chocolate. "Figured you needed something for an apology of me runnin out." He grinned. "Not dat I'm trying ta buy your forgiveness."
