"well, I grew up in a very small little town in the countryside of Scotland. We lived in this tiny little house, I think in all it had about three rooms, a biggish room and two small bedrooms. Father worked on one of the near by farms, but he would always say that one day we would get away, the choice came down to either New York or Australia as there are many farms and stations down there" she paused for a moment "it was always fun, mother would teach me Latin, reading, writing and arithmetic. Papa would always dance with me after dinner and there would always be something going on in the lane. I remember when I was about five papa took me out to see a pipe band and it was so pretty, the kilts and the music, and I danced and danced and danced" she smiled at her memory "I'm sure there were bad times, but I have chosen to block them out and only remember the good times"

"thats all it seems like now, I know it happened but, it was so long ago" she looked down at her plate "I would love to go back, it's what I dream about most, even more than those boots, but it will never happen, I'm stuck in New York untill I die" she said biting her lip and holding back her tears, still avoiding looking at Crispin and looking down at her plate.
