"I guess we'll see about that," Drama commented with an easy grin. She liked that she was seeing more and more of this easy playful side of him. "Just remember...I'm not letting you get off easy, it's not my style," She said, swinging her hips slightly and winking at him as she climbed aboard the ride and watched him do the same, waiting for the start of it.

Golly mounted the absurd metal horse along side Drama's. Three more people filled in the remaining horses, a man and two youngsters - presumably his kids. The kid next to Golly made him feel a little out of place - at least the other adult came with kids. He shook his head trying to shake the feeling, and looked back at Drama, biting the inside of his cheek and raising an eyebrow.
The signal bell rang before Golly could speak so he just prepared himself for the ride. A few seconds later the starting bell rang and the horses took off down the track. The ride encompassed the majority of the park, elevated so the riders could look below at other visitors and vice versa. Drama's horse was a length ahead, the kids several behind. Golly found himself kicking his heals into the dummy horse as if it would make it pick up speed. His pulled up alongside of Drama's and he gave her a competitive smirk as they pulled around the finial turn.

Drama looked over at him and grinned. She leaned lower over the horse, knowing that it wouldn't make a bit of difference but getting into the spirit of the race anyhow. They rounded the final turn, her horse just a nose ahead of his when his spurred forward at the last possible moment and he crossed the finish line just before her. She feigned outrage, throwing up her arms as her horse glided to a stop beside his. "You cheated," She accused, reaching over to punch him lightly on the arm.

Golly caught her arm, giving her a triumphant grin. "Don't be gettin' violent, I might just have to arrest you for assault of an officer" He joked getting off the horse and keeping hold of her hand to help her off as well. The uncomfortable feelings he had had prior to the race had melted away from the glee of winning, a dumb grin still taking over his face. "

"You don't scare me Officer McLean," Drama teased, her hand stayed in his even after she dismounted and her fingers naturally twined with his as they walked. The gesture was so natural and subtle it barely registered in Drama's mind, except to note that she liked the firm hold of his hand on hers and the feeling of his palm resting against hers. She glanced down at their hands briefly and wondered what he was thinking...this outing had just taken an interesting turn.
"I suppose the proper thing to do is let the winner chose the next stop," She said, looking up at him expectantly.

Golly went somber again, also looking at their hands. He had only meant to help her down, though he wasn't going to protest the outcome. He liked it, he liked her, it was all just so unusual for him. He glanced around the park, walking in no particular direction. "I may be the winner but yer the lady, lass." He shrugged no wanting to determine everything they did.

"Such the gentleman," Drama teased lightly, glad that he hadn't let go. She'd seen his eyes dart to their linked hands but it seemed he was comfortable enough with her now not to pull away. Looking around the park she debated the next move, her eyes lighting up when she saw the ferris wheel. "Ferris wheel?" She looked up at him hopefully. "I know it seems silly, but I've never been on one and I always wanted too..." She trailed off as she realized how silly that must sound.

Golly resisted laughing instead settling for a small smile. "Not so silly for a little girl, an' thats about what ya sound like" He lead her to the line, giving over some more tickets and helping her into the cart. Before stepping into the contraption himself he peered up and it, swallowing and making his defined Adam's apple bounce a bit. He shook his head and climbed in next to her the attendant pulling the lap belt across them.

She looked over at him as he climbed in next to her and smiled softly. She'd seen his quick gaze upwards and knew he wasn't exactly comfortable. Reaching over she took his hand in hers again and squeezed it lightly as the ride begin to move. As it spun around she gazed out over the park, a smile settling on her face. After a few times around the ride stopped and they were near the top of the circle and she could tell that Golly was uncomfortable. Hoping she could take his mind off of it she took a deep breath, "Sarah." She looked over at him with a small shrug and slight smile, "That's my real name. Sarah."

Golly was keeping his eyes fixed on the horizon - heights had made him uneasy for as long as he could remember. Drama's had was a reassurance, a comfort, but he still kept his eyes fixed on the distances keeping a steady mantra running through his head. It wasn't until she revealed her name that he broke his stare and snapped his head toward her. His mouth slowly curled into a modest smile. "Sarah. I guess your parents didn't have the humor mine did after all.."

"No, I'm afraid not," She said with a slight laugh. "I was named for my grandmother, she died right before I was born." She shrugged a little bit and turned to gaze back out over the park. It was as much as she told anyone about herself in years, but she found she didn't mind him knowing. The same way she wasn't minding that he was still holding her hand.

Golly kept a gaze on her, studying all the little features in her face, musing about the her past. She had let him in a little - not much- but it was a start anyways. "Its a good name." He still had his faint smile. "It means princess..." His voice trailed off slightly and he shrugged adding "mine means low place..."

"I'm no princess," She said with a soft smile, she turned so she could meet his gaze, her green eyes searching his face. She reached up a hand and ran it lightly through his hair, "No more than you are a low place." Her fingers drifted dwon and rested on his cheek. "It seems as though we were both misnamed."

Golly turned his head away from her, twitching a little as he touched his head and cheek. The movement broke the contact with her hand, though he hadn't really intended on it; it was almost instinctive to shy away. He let out a sigh and absently rubbed a thumb over the back of her hand he was still holding. "I'd have to disagree, lass..i think there quite suiting..." It was half a complement and half a self evaluation.

She dropped her freehand away from him, afraid she had frightened him. The movenment and touch had just seemed so natural, though he didn't shy away from the hand he was holding. His thumb rubbed over the back of it and she dropped her eyes to watch it as he spoke. "I really wish you wouldn't say such things about yourself," She said, frowning slightly and then squeezing his hand so he'd look at her. "You're a fine man Golly...better than most. If that is a low place then....it's a low place I'd like to be."
