Buck waited patiently, not wanting to disturb the doctor as he figured out what was going on. After some time, he finally sat down in the Doctor's office. He coughed a few times, the blood stain on the side of his shirt that he used to wipe the blood off of his hands was growing. He'd probably just throw the shirt away later. After 30 minutes, he started to tire, and his eyelids slowly closed as he sat. When he heard the doctor exclaim, it woke him up a bit more.

Jennifer had been smoothing his hair back with one hand, and jumped a bit when the doctor had yelled out a bit, she hadn't been paying attention. She looked back down at Buck and kissed his forehead softly, her fingertips playing lightly with his hand. "How are you doing?" She asked softly when he woke up a bit .

Buck looked up at her and shook his head a bit, "I'm good." He told her, coughing into his hand once more. "Is there a towel, or napkin..." He didn't finish due to another series of coughs. Buck was able to force a smile afterwards and looked at the doctor for help.

Jennifer got him a towel, before walking over to the doctor, hands clasped in front of her. She didn't know what she was going to say, just that Buck needed some help. Anything the doctor could do would help...but he really needed it now. It was going to kill her, seeing her strong cowboy like this.

JOhn mark read on "Tuberculosis (abbreviated as TB for Tubercle Bacillus) is a common and deadly infectious disease caused by the mycobacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis or Mycobacterium bovis, which most commonly affects the lungs (pulmonary TB) but can also affect the central nervous system, lymphatic system, circulatory system, genitourinary system, bones and joints.
In the patients where TB becomes an active disease, 75% of these cases affect the lungs, where the disease is called pulmonary TB. Symptoms include a productive, prolonged cough of more than three weeks duration, chest pain, and coughing up blood. Systemic symptoms include fever, chills, night sweats, appetite loss, weight loss, paling, and easy fatigability.[1]
When the infection spreads out of the lungs, extrapulmonary sites include the pleura, central nervous system in meningitis, lymphatic system in scrofula of the neck, genitourinary system in urogenital tuberculosis, and bones and joints in Pott's disease of the spine. An especially serious form is disseminated, or miliary tuberculosis. Extrapulmonary forms are more common in immunosuppressed persons and in young children. Infectious pulmonary TB may co-exist with extrapulmonary TB, which is not contagious.
TB is spread by aerosol droplets expelled by people with the active disease of the lungs when they cough, sneeze, speak, or spit. These infectious droplets are 0.5 to 5 µm in diameter and about 40,000 can be produced by a single sneeze.[14] People with prolonged, frequent, or intense contact are at highest risk of becoming infected, with an estimated 22% infection rate."
John stood up and ran out into the waiting room. He looked around a a few of the sick people He then looked at the 'symptoms' part of the section. He looked up at the girl who seemed to be uneffected by the sickness "It's Tuberculosis"

Jennifer nodded, having already suspected it highly because Aria had already said it. However, it didn't sound very promising, not at all. "What do we do?" She asked, meeting the doctor's gaze.

Buck listened to the word; he had never heard of it. "Can you fix it?" He asked, quietly. "I mean, I'm going to be ok... right?" He asked, a little scared. If it couldn't be fixed, he couldn't work, then he couldn't send money back to his family. Everything would be ruined, they'd be kicked out of their home... life as they know it would end.

"Of course you are." Jennifer looked back at Buck, meeting his eyes and smiling at him before turning back to the doctor. She frowned a bit. "So, as long as they're comfortable, get all those things, it'll be okay?" She looked back at Buck. "Do you have a place of your own? I'll stay with you."

Buck believed her and smiled. "That's wonderful." He tried to remember what the doctor had said; hopefully Jennifer remembered. "Yeah, in Brooklyn." He told her. "Right along Prospect Park."

Jennifer nodded. "Then that's where you're going." She turned back to the doctor even as she walked back to Buck's side. "That's all right, isn't it, doctor?" Absently she fingered the change she had thrown in her pocket. They were taking a cab.

Buck grinned softly, he'd like to be home instead of in some doctor's office. He continued sitting, hoping the doctor was ok with them leaving; however, he would probably try to leave anyways. He didn't like doctor's offices, and prefered to just be cared for at home by someone he actually knew.

JOhn nodded "yes, take him to your house. Keep the window open and make sure he get lots of food. Now he's not going to want to eat but make him eat. If anyhting should happenm come back here"
John looked at Buck. He could tell he wasnt very comfortable at all. He was use to that.

Jennifer nodded to everything he said, before smiling. "Thank you, doctor." She pulled the change for the cab out of her pocket, but kept it in her hand as she turned to Buck. "C'mon...Let's get you out of here." She held her hand out to help him up.

Buck smiled when he heard he could go home, and looked to Jennifer. He took her hand and slowly lifted himself up. He looked at the money in her hand and thought for a moment, "What's that for?" He asked, not wanting her to spend money on him. He reached into his own pocket, pulling out a few coins. He held them out to her, wanting to help pay for whatever she was paying for.
