Dr. John Marks office was, as well as the waiting room, a decent size. He made sure there was enough room for multiple occupants. There were tables for operating and beds to rest on and to heal on. there we're IV bag and tubes and and needle. The place looked like a mini hospital. On the wall there were hooks and button and right above the a small door hung a diploma from The State Board of Medical Examiners of Virginia that read...

Aria knocked on the door of the doctor's office, resting her hands on her stomach. She needed to enlist the help of the doctor over the Tuberculous outbreak. IT was serious.

Race walked up beside a very pregnant woman and leaned against the wall, attempting to catch his breath from his exceedingly quick walk from Manhattan. He had seen her knock so he just stood silently, scratching the back of his head awkwardly as he waited for the doctor to come out.

Jennifer nodded, once, and pulled most of his weight on her. He was about ready to drop, but she'd get him there. Even if she had to drag him. They were just up the street from the doctors, when she saw there were already people there. And of them... "Ms. Aria?" Jennifer's breath left her in a sharp sigh, and her arm tightened around Buck's waist.

Buck had hit his second wind, allowing him to stand a little straighter. "We're here." He let out. His breathing hurt just as much, but talking was starting to hurt more. He stood beside Jennifer, using her as some support, as he tried to keep himself balanced. He kept his breaths short and quick, so they wouldn't hurt as much. A few beads of sweat drizzled down his forhead, but he didn't whipe them off.

Aria watched the others and tsked. "Oh my..." She looked to the girl who said her name and waddled over, grabbing a chair and helping the sick boy into it. "Looks like it is worse than I thought." She sighed. She was going to have to turn the ballroom into a care center--a quarintine.

Buck sat down into the chair offered to him. He didn't know who this woman was, but he wasn't going to refuse her help. "Thank you." He said, catching his breath. "I think I'll be ok." He assured, leaning back in the chair. He let out a few more coughs, small drops of blood shooting in to his left hand. He knew they were there, but couldn't look at them. He had been cut, bruised, and hurt when he rode horses and herded cattle in Texas, but never had blood come from his lungs (or, that's where he assumed it came from). He watched as the doctor came out, by now he had a little more strengh. His breathing was still quick and choppy, but it was easy to see that he was sitting taller, and could hold himself up better. He wasn't the first person here, so he continued sitting; happy to stay seated for as long as possible.

Aria sighed and handed the boy a kercheif. "Cough into this, mon cher.." She said quietly before looking up at the doctor. "...Dr. Marks. I'm a nurse. There is a tuberculousis outbreak spreading across the newsies...so I do believe you will need to go out into the field." She put a hand on Buck's shoulder. "He's the only sick one here." She looked over at Race. "...is one of your friend's sick, love?"

Jennifer, her hands twisting at the hem of her shirt absently, stood just behind Buck. He could break this, seriously. He was Buck. But seeing as she wasn't sick, she just stayed out of the way. There was determination in her eyes, though. She wasn't going to leave.

Buck took the kercheif. "Thank you.", he said, looking at no place in particular. He whiped his hand and held it out, ready for any more coughing. He looked back to Jennifer, "Please, don't get sick." He almost begged. He needed her to keep him strong, but he couldn't risk her getting sick. "I love you." He told her, before turning and coughing into the kercheif.

Turning that slight pink shade of hers, she leaned down, kissing his forehead softly. "I won't." She whispered. "But I'm not leaving you either... I love you too." Tears wanted to come, but she wouldn't let them. He had been strong for a lot of people. It was her turn to be strong for him.

Looking back to Jennifer, Buck smiled, "Thank you." He then looked over to the doctor, as he spoke to Aria. He had heard her say that Buck was the only sick one here, but he was still reluctant to get up. He thought for a few moments before starting to stand up. He grabed the back of the chair for support, and held onto it as he stood.
