Salene had wandered around since she'd hopped off the train, watching the people around her almost as if they were going to bite or eat her. As usual people gave the dark haired girl a wide birth, she was different. And she was a bit dirty, riding the rails had a way of doing that, so did weeks in a ships hull.
She dropped her cloth bag to the bank of the pond and cracked a whole in the ice with her ringed hand, using the water to clean her face a bit.

Murder had been sitting under a tree, watching the area around her when she saw Salene. "...you know, one of the public watering areas would be better than that nasty water."

Salene heard someone talking to her and quirked a brow, turning her eyes in the direction of the voice. Once her eyes fell on the girl she made a quick examination before she spoke, "Those have more people." Her voice was light and the comment was in English. Possible the first fully English comment she'd spoken in months.

Murder snorted and nodded. "...touche." She pulled out a cigarette, taking a long drag. "Want one?" She understood avoiding people.

Salene shook her hand in the water to get the cold off, snagging her cloth bag and walked over to the girl, dropping right beside her, taking the smoke she offered. She managed to look like a gypsy princess, bangles and jewelry, her coat was an array of colors, and her skirts were the same. "Thanks," she said with a nod.

Murder looked over Salene. She was a pretty thing. "Gyspy?" She lit the girl's cigarette. "I'm Murder."

Salene took a drag letting her cigarette light before she responded, "Aye,' she said with a nod, amazed at herself, she normally wasn't that upfront with anyone, but this girl seemed to be different. "Salene.."

Murder nodded. "New?" She kept her gaze forward, her face unreadable save her lips pursing now and again.

She nodded, leaning back a bit, blowing out the smoke, "Just off the train.."

Murder nodded. "...Where you from last?" She knew the girl was a gypsy..so asking where she was from could have a long list of answers. Wolf might like meeting a fellow gypsy...

"Charlotte," Salene replied, taking another drag from the cigarette, she cast a glance at the blond girl and nodded. "I'm from Poland.." She really hadn't told anyone where she'd originated, but Poland was as close as anywhere else.

Murder nodded. "...never been. New York, born and bred. Family from Ireland." She looked over at her. "Winds brought you here? Planning on staying, or moving on?"

Salene managed a smirk that made her even more beautiful. "Aye, though I'm not sure how long I'm staying, the winds and the fates said I needed to put in a stop.."

....on second hand, perhaps she wouldn't introduce her to Wolf. The girl was strikingly beautiful. "Have idea where to stay?...streets in New York aren't kind."
