Moira nodded. "Alright, alright, you win..." She sighed and ruffled her friend's hair. She loved Lanna, so she just kept her mouth shut. She knew Lanna couldn't see what she did.
"Let's go."

With a laugh and a smile, she linked her friend's arm threw hers and headed out the door.

((NEW DAY))
Gil rushed into the general store quickly closing the door behind him. He let out a sigh happy to be out of the wicked wind that had been blowing in over the river. He walked over to the counter and waved down the clerk asking for a pack of cigarettes. While he waited he shuddered thinking about the people he'd made deliveries to; a good quarter of them had been coughing and hacking, looking like hell. Just who he wanted to be around - sick, disgusting, contagious people. He drummed his fingers on the counter, impatiently waiting for the clerk to return with his purchase.

Shiloh read the list that Tilly had given her and she rolled her eyes, "Stupid woman.." she muttered as she grabbed some cod liver oil from the shelf. She folded her arms and blew her hair out of her face. Half the girl's at work were getting ill, not like she cared, she didn't like them anyway. She sat the bottle and a few other items on the counter and looked at the list, she blinked. "She's gone completely mad if she things I'm getting that.." she muttered absently.

Gilbert glanced over at the girl who was talking to herself but turned his attention back to the clerk. "Get the lead out will ya?! I need a smoke!" He yelled at the store clerk before letting out an aggravated growl and rubbed his face with one hand. "Incompetence..." he grumbled as his cigarettes were slid over to him. He threw some change on the table and quickly tore into the pack to light up. He let out a sigh as he inhaled and adverted his attention back to the girl. Gil leaned against a self and laughed lightly at her - people were so amusing when there were irritated.

Shiloh didn't really notice the attention she was getting, she muttered some more and rolled her eyes heavenward, asking whoever would listen for some patience before she glared at the clerk. "It's all on Tilly Madison's account.." She finally noticed the guy smoking and quirked a brow, pining for a cigarette she turned her attention back to the clerk and wondered how the hell she was supposed to carry all that.

Gilbert chucked some more and made his way back to the counter. "Don't ya jus' love the service ya get in here?" He asked with a hiss, directing it more to the stupid clerk than Shiloh. He blew a wave of smoke at the incompetent worker and then raised an eyebrow at Shiloh. "Buyin' the whole dang place arn't ya?" he picked up the bottle of oil and read the label, his nose wrinkled. "Cod liver oil? Mmm good stuff..."

She snorted indignantly and glared at the clerk, "Oh the service is just lovely, darlin." She snarled a bit before she narrowed her eyes. Turning back to Gil she quirked a brow at his comment about the cod liver oil then wrinkled her nose in disgust. "You've got to be joking. I don't know what she does with half this stuff, nor do I really want to know... ". She shook her head. "Ugh, she's convinced that she's going to get ill so she's hold up in her room.. forcing me to run errands." She looked at the counter and tapped it to get the clerk to hurry.

Gil laughed and set the bottle back on the counter. "Shes got good reason to stay locked up...'alf the city's sick, I seen 'em." He took another toke as visions of his sick delivery patrons filled his head again, "might as well hide from it and let her...umm.." he looked Shiloh over not knowing what her relation to Tilly was. "Anyhow its better for her if you get ill." The clerk finally returned and started to ring things up. Gilbert just smiled at him, twirling his cigarette in between his teeth.

Shiloh put them on her cousin's credit account and tried to gather the bags, managing with a grunt to get them all at once. She snorted then rolled her eyes, "You know somethin' darlin. You're right about that. She's such a selfish bitty, but if I get sick.. she can't make rent..." She smirked a bit, suddenly liking the thought of Tilly getting her just deserts. She shrugged, "Then again if I died she'd just send a nice brief Telegram to my folks.. She died.. stop.. oops.. stop... send more money.. stop.." Shiloh managed another shrug as she tried to balance her bags watching his cigarette. She couldn't get to hers, they were in her pocket and it wasn't like she had matches anyway. She'd ran out after work.

"Ah and maybe I'd deliver it" He said tapping his little red hat with a laugh and waved at the clueless clerk and walked toward the door. He was no gentleman, taking no notice of Shiloh struggling with the bags, but he did manage to hold the door for her. "Ya never know though, with a grocery list like that she may be plannin' on killing herself rather than catching the epidemic.." He joked referencing the ridiculous items she'd just purchases.

"Ooh if only I could be so lucky," she remarked dryly. Honestly she wouldn't have excepted help if he'd offered it. She could manage, she just needed to get them balanced right. She hunched her shoulders against the cold and smirked a bit. "If she doesn't let up and just die already I might be tempted to shove her out the window.." It was true, she mostly did as Tilly said because she didn't want to listen to her whine and say how ungrateful Shiloh was. All in all, she was irritated with the girl. "Not like working in the bakery is as hard as the factories and yet the round lump doesn't seem to realize that.."

Gilbert smirked and took a few more hits from his cigarette before tossing it into the mucky snow. The little tube had fulfilled its destiny and given Gil his tobacco fix - they just weren't as enjoyable as cigars were. "Aw common now, she sounds like too easy of a target to jus' go and murder..you'd jus' be takin' the easy way out " He flipped open his satchel and pulled out a few more telegrams, trying to plan a route for the afternoon. As he read the little pieces of paper kept speaking inattentively, “An’ think of it this way, shes keepin’ yer life interesting by giving you something to grumble about”

She quirked a brow at him, "You know, I never thought about it that way.." she shrugged a bit and kept walking. "Even if the tart does manage to avoid getting ill and I do get it.. I wont have a place to stay to long. She'd toss me out faster then a pitcher does the opening pitch of a game.."

Gil put all his telegrams bag in his bag, minus one which found a snug spot in his breast pocket. "Tough break, " he said with mild interest, "but if you get sick ya jus' might die an' not need that place to stay." He laughed and pulled another cigarette out and dropped it into one of Shiloh's bags. "Jus' helpin' ya keep yer lungs healthy another day"
